3 Air treatment units Air treatment units filter and condition the air in buildings and spaces in order to achieve an optimal climate. The essence of air treatment is that air is circulated and then cooled, dried or moistened, and purified through outdoor air or filters. Air treatment is often confused with air conditioning. However these are two different things. Air treatment includes the total system for treating the indoor air and to dose by room. Air conditioning is generally from a separate unit or units, specifically used for cooling. HB is happy to advise you on the various options! Desiccant dehumidifiers HB Drying Systems designs, manufactures and installs air drying systems and air treatment systems for the complete conditioning of the air. These systems consist of adsorption, cooling, heating, humidification, dehumidification or a combination of these. HB s dehumidifiers are characterised by high capacity in normal outside temperatures and humidity (% RH). Under conditions with low temperatures and humidities HB s dehumidifiers are particularly efficient, especially in comparison with other dehumidification systems. Steam, gas, electricity, hot water, water pump or solar energy? The adsorption dryer can use almost any energy source! The most economical and environmentally friendly form of energy can therefore be used. For refrigerators and freezers there are special adsorption dryers available which are designed for drying at temperatures of -25 C or lower. In HB s supply programme there are also mobile dehumidifiers. These are used for temporary tasks, such as for instance the drying of buildings with water damage. 4 Refrigeration Dry kilns and climate rooms In line with HB Drying Systems activities are the activities of HB Koeltechniek. For product and process control HB Koeltechniek designs and manufactures cooling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, top cooling, air treatment and special installations, including full air conditioning and energy recovery systems. These are installations for various purposes such as monitoring the temperature in server rooms and power stations, but also to keep the air conditions constant in the food processing industry in manufacturing, transport and storage for instance for milk powder, coffee and many other hygroscopic products. For the drying of various different products worldwide, use is made of dry kilns and climate rooms. Monitoring and controlling of temperature and humidity or maintaining the air condition is a complex process, especially in circumstances where the external conditions vary considerably. Concern for the environment is an important aspect in the process of manufacturing of dry kilns. HB is well aware of this responsibility. All dry kilns are therefore of sustainable quality and meet the highest quality standards. They are manufactured in accordance with the laws of the export country and are highly efficient. Naturally the specific requirements for the pallet and packaging, such as for example the ISPM no.15-measure, are also taken into account HB Koeltechniek designs installations for cooling, heating, humidification, dehumidification, or a combination of these. The installations can even be tested using the in-house test setup in accordance with specified requirements. In this way HB Koeltechniek designs, builds and supplies sustainable systems for the food, pharmaceutical, chemical-petrochemical and shipping industries. Due to the advanced and user friendly computer operating system, HB guarantees not only high efficiency but also an excellent quality of the product being dried. HB supplies and installs dry kilns under an existing roof or detached roof. 5 Air conditioning, a conscious choice Computer Operating Systems The right indoor climate, both summer and winter, provides a positive contribution to welfare in general. A good living and working environment means people remain healthy and feel better. Therefore investing in a good indoor climate pays off. Modern air conditioning cools, heats, filters and purifies the air. It also dehumidifies the room. Air conditioning is no longer just a luxury; it is a conscious choice for a healthy living environment. It softens and prevents physical disorders especially lungs and airways. The right temperature and a healthier environment provide a pleasant working atmosphere and increase work efficiency. Sickness absenteeism decreases and concentration increases. Air-conditioning systems consist of an inner section and an outer section which are connected by narrow cooling pipes connected to each other. These systems are called split or multi-split. In most cases pipes in walls or ceilings can be eliminated. In addition to cooling the air, air conditioners can heat and are therefore a good complement to under floor heating. In this way, the adsorption dryer can also be fully integrated in a process installation The equipment supplied by HB can be provided with a full PLCcontrol. Touch screens are used for easy use and visualisation. If an installation consists of several sub installations, it is possible to connect these to each other over a network so that the central installation can be controlled. It is even possible to connect to an existing installation. HB develops and maintains the necessary software in-house.through the use of separate building blocks, the software can be designed modularly and can therefore be easily adapted to your needs. HB has developed its own recipe system for the control of dry kilns. Using this it is possible to create and edit recipes on the touch panel or on a PC using MSExcel. The temperature and RH gradient of each drying process are saved automatically.
