Comprised of double doors, the FrostFree fridge and freezer combines contemporary design with maximum convenience to meet the demands of today s modern lifestyle. For large households or large appetites With an enormous gross capacity of up to 678 litres, the storage capacity of these extra-large combination appliances reflects the need to provide practical and innovative storage solutions. And the French Door model goes even further with a gross capacity of 762 litres, enough to satisfy the biggest appetite. Easy tilt freezer door compartments The storage compartments have been specifically designed to tilt forward, enabling easy access as well as providing smarter storage solutions for bulkier items. Transparent drawers Durable see-through drawers provide an at-a-glance view of the contents, which keeps the time the door is open to a minimum, saving energy consumption. Telescopic drawer rails For maximum convenience, the telescopic rails allow you to pull the drawer out for complete access. Adjustable door compartments The compartments within the door interior can be removed for easy cleaning. Our new dairy compartment also offers optimum storage conditions and minimises odour transfer within the fridge, keeping your food in top condition. Height-adjustable non-spill safety glass shelves Safety Glass The shelves within the fridge and freezer are made from toughened safety glass, which ensures small spillages do not flow down into the shelves below. For maximum convenience and to suit individual storage needs, many shelves are height-adjustable. HydroFresh The HydroFresh vegetable drawer features a humidity control that allows adjustment of the humidity levels to maximise the shelf life of fruits and vegetables. Maintaining the correct humidity level prevents produce from drying out. For maximum convenience, the telescopic rails allow you to pull the drawer out for complete access. ChillerBox The recommended storage area for meat, fish and ready-meals, this high-performance chiller compartment provides a lower temperature than the rest of the fridge, which helps to keep your food fresh, flavoursome and nutritious. The manual humidity adjustment lever also stores them in the ideal environment. And for easy access, we have installed a slide-out system so that you can easily assess what s there, even at the back of the drawer. Humidity control The humidity control vent gives you the option to lower or raise the humidity in the vegetable/salad container, depending on the food you re storing. High humidity provides leafy vegetables ideal storage environment while other vegetables and fruit should be stored at a slightly lower humidity. For high humidity, close the vent and for low humidity you should keep the vent open. Separate cooling systems Separate evaporators for the fridge and freezer sections not only prevent the transfer of flavours and odours between compartments, but also allows the fridge and freezer temperatures to be controlled separately and independently of one another. ActiveCooling The temperature within a conventional fridge can be uneven, since warm air rises. Bosch ActiveCooling solves this problem by distributing cold air into all areas of the fridge by fan or rear wall venting. Sensor electronics maintain a constant temperature throughout the compartment to +/ 1 C, which is designed to protect food against bacterial growth. SuperCooling Putting new food into your fridge causes the internal temperature to rise, which means the fridge has to work harder to cool down and regulate the temperature again. SuperCooling will prepare your fridge by rapidly reducing the temperature, keeping the contents cool, and quickly cooling the new groceries down to 2 C. SuperFreezing Adding new food to the freezer can increase the internal temperature. This means the freezer has to work harder to avoid any increase of temperature, which can affect existing food by partly defrosting. The SuperFreezing function rapidly lowers the temperature in the freezer, ensuring the fresh food is frozen quickly, while surrounding frozen food stays frozen. So even when the door is open for slightly longer periods, the contents are protected. FrostFree MultiAirflow cooling This innovative system eliminates the formation of ice on food and the freezer interior. The MultiAirflow system improves circulation of air around the fridge, regulates temperature and humidity levels, and eradicates the build-up of condensation. Electronic control display panel Bosch French Door and Side-by-Side models feature fully electronic controls set conveniently into the door exterior, giving you precise and independent temperature control of both the fridge and freezer compartments. The French Door model also provides electronic temperature and humidity control of the crisper drawers, providing optimum storage conditions. Other features of the control panel include child proof lock, SuperCooling, SuperFreezing and water filter reset. Audible door open alarm Audible warning alarms have Audible Door Open Alarm been intelligently developed to trigger if one or both doors are kept open for over one minute. If either door remains open for longer periods, the alarm signal will act as a reminder every 60 seconds for 5 minutes. Water & ice dispenser The in-door water & ice dispenser gives you the choice of chilled, filtered water, as well as producing crushed ice and ice cubes. (up to 140 ice cubes every 24 hours.)
