6 Standard Water Troughs Supporting Farmers with Innovative Solutions JFC offer a variety of single and double reservoir water troughs ranging in capacity from 53L to 400L. The double reservoir allows the trough to be positioned between two zoned areas thereby maximising use. Smaller capacity troughs are particularly suited for calves, horses, goats and sheep. Each trough is fitted with a high pressure float valve protected within a plastic/metal cover to prevent tampering by animals and subsequent damage. These troughs are strong and durable and suitable for both internal and external use. They are easy to install and maintain and can be simply loaded into/onto a vehicle for transport. 7 Tip-Over Water Trough ID80 DT40 TOT1 The JFC Tip-Over Water Trough has a tipping mechanism for ease of emptying and cleaning. This simple and efficient system allows farmers increase the frequency of cleaning thereby ensuring fresh, clean drinking water is available for livestock. Each trough is fitted with a high output float valve (36L/min) for quick refill after cleaning. This valve maintains a constant water capacity (100L) that is sufficient to supply drinking water to up to 5 cows simultaneously yet ensure minimum water wastage when tipping. The trough has a smooth finish to ensure animal safety and for ease of cleaning. Available with a floor or wall mounted galvanised steel frame. Water is protected within a secure chamber which can be easily opened by screws for servicing. Animals access the water by pushing down on the white float(s). With sufficient use and in the correct conditions these troughs can prevent water freezing in conditions as low as -25ºC. They are also effective at keeping water cool in warm conditions. Each feeder is fitted with either an inverted or non-return valve teat to deliver milk by gravity feed. The teats encourage natural sucking action allowing milk to be delivered to the calf at an optimum rate. Each feeder is fitted with 2 sturdy hooks for mounting on a standard gate or fence making them extremely versatile for use around the farm. They are also ideal for use with the JFC Calf Hutch Systems.
