2 LabGard NU-602 Biological Safety Cabinet The LabGard NU-602 Class II Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinet/Cage Changing Station provides personnel, product, and environmental protection for sensitive animal handling and cage changing procedures. Built to withstand the rigors of use in an animal facility, the NU-602 is both mobile and height adjustable with the following key features: Safety Greater visibility and reach through a large 12 access opening along with Class II Type A2 biohazard containment through a 105 FPM air barrier across the front access opening (optional 13.5 access/105 FPM air barrier to accommodate taller rat cages). Uni-directional laminar airflow minimizes air turbulence or cross contamination between animals. All contaminated ducts, plenums, and gaskets are under negative pressure or surrounded by negative pressure to eliminate the possibility of cabinet or gasket leaks and to guard against HEPA failure. Ergonomic Auto-Lift Electronically adjustable work surface height from 31 to 38 (42 with optional 4 base risers) accommodates the ergonomic needs of multiple users who may be sitting or standing. As a console-style cabinet with the motor/blower located in the base, the low profile of the NU-602 is ideal for animal holding rooms with low ceilings and doorways. NU Model shown with decorative front panel, refuse disposal, and dirty cage collection options. HEPA Filtration High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filtration is 99.99% efficient on removal of particulates for supply (re-circulated) and exhausted air. High-capacity blower protects filter and extends filter life by providing a minimum 150% increase in static pressure across the HEPA filter. Adjustable internal damper and motor speed control further extend HEPA filter life. Pre-filters capture bedding, hair and dander and are easy to access for cleaning underneath the prop up work tray. [A] ESSENTIALS Control System includes a Minihelic pressure gauge, motor voltage regulator, main and outlet power circuit breakers, and power switches for fluorescent lights and/or ultraviolet lights, interior outlets, and blower motor. 4 LabGard NU-602 Biological Safety Cabinet 3 Configurations Available 1 Dirty Cage Collection Option Pass-through feature allows operator to place dirty cages from cage-changing procedure through a door in side wall and into a biohazard bag for transport to autoclave. The pass-through door is completely removable for cleaning and can accommodate both mouse and rat cages. Class II biohazard containment is maintained through the cage collection process. NU Model shown with decorative front panel, refuse disposal, and dirty cage collection options. Available on all sizes. 2 Refuse Disposal Option Convenient system located below work surface allows user to dispose of animal bedding and waste under Class II containment conditions. Double bag disposal system includes outer bag fastened to underside of plenum with metal ring; inner bag fits snugly to work tray to hold refuse. Waste is collected in a 22 gallon can that sits on a platform with castors. Available on six-foot models only. 3 Sterile Cage Delivery Option Autoclaved, sterile cages are placed in the sterile cage delivery system where wraps are removed in clean airstream. Sterile cages are easily accessed by the operator through the cabinet work surface as the spring-balanced platform moves cages vertically into position. Delivery system can maintain up to 50 stacked disposable mouse cages in sterile bags. Available on six-foot models only.
