2 Recover... your wellbeing The home is a precious asset where we all spend a major time of your life. So it s important that it be kept as clean as possible. Ventilation, whether mechanical or natural, allows us to control factors such as temperature, humidity and pollutants in the air, preventing the formation of surface and interstitial condensation and the subsequent development of unpleasant mould. Given that nowadays buildings are highly insulated against outside temperatures, it is becoming increasingly difficult to eliminate vapours generated in indoor environments on a daily basis. In fact, the mere presence of a person inside a room releases a significant quantity of moisture humidity. Moreover, simple actions such as washing our hands, drying clothes or cooking, release significant quantities of aqueous vapours. Unless the building is properly ventilated, this aqueous vapour will tend to condense on relatively colder surfaces such as the walls; if the building is properly ven tilated however, this excess moisture will be pushed towards the outside, thereby preventing the formation of condensation. In addition to maintaining air temperature and relative humidity conditions, ventilation allows control over pollutants inside the home; simply think about the quantity of O each person releases when breathing, simple actions such as cooking (which releases fumes and odours into the environment), cleaning the home (which releases airborne organic compounds contained in cleaning products) or smoking a cigarette (which releases nicotine and other polluting elements). Moreover, inside the buildings hide a series of other pollutants often unbeknownst to us, such as pollens or insects (which enter the home during the different seasons throughout the year), radon (a natural gas found in soil, which infiltrates homes) or carbon monoxide (due to poor combustion in heating systems or stoves). So it s not only indoor environments that are polluted, but also outdoor ones. s a consequence however, given that rooms are ventilated during the part of the day when environmental pollution is at its highest, ventilation itself can be dangerous for the air we breathe. Until today, the most common method of exchanging air in indoor environments was to open the doors and windows, but given the hectic rhythms of modern day life, this isn t always easy. Moreover, compared to older buildings, modern construction technology has made building insulation even more efficient; however, while allowing us to use less energy for heating, this also results in significantly less air infiltration, particularly from the doors and windows. Unlike natural ventilation systems, a controlled mechanical system always ensures the right quantity of air is exchanged. The process is continuous and adjustable depending on the activities being performed by the occupants. The exchanged air is continuously controlled through a filtration system that prevents the introduction of pollutants from the outside. In order to ensure correct ventilation in the home, as well as healthy conditions in the environments in which we live, doors and windows should be opened for twenty minutes every two hours; in addition to being a complicated operation in light of our daily routines, this is also extremely wasteful from an economical point of view due to the cold air that is subsequently let inside. On the other hand, a controlled mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery ensures the correct level of air exchange, with almost zero impact on heating costs. Thanks to high-efficiency heat recovery, the warm air present in the rooms cross with the cold air from the outside, without ever mixing, transferring the heat. This simple device reduces external energy dispersion throughout the various periods of the year. In fact, while it prevents heat from escaping the building in the winter months, it also prevents the heat from entering in the summer months, thereby significantly reducing building operating costs. Moreover, thanks to mechanical ventilation systems, it is possible to monitor the correct flow of air from the outside, based on the real needs of the building. Uses Recupera Dry is an integrated solution of ontrolled Mechanical Ventilation (MV) units with dehumidification and air treatment for residential ambients. Thanks to a radiant floor system and one plant for air distribution into the rooms, the air can be treated in the various seasons satisfying different ambient needs in therm of comfort. REUPER-DRY can be apply for: Summer: - ir renewal with heat recovery; - Dehumidifying air; - ir renewal with heat recovery, with dehumidification and possible cooling. Winter - ir renewal with heat recovery; - ir heating; - ir renewal with heat recovery, with heating integration The air flows treated by the REUPER-DRY can be set via the control panel, the speed of the electric fans is adjusted automatically to ensure the pre-fixed air flow in the distribution channels and solve the relative pressure drops. The air introduced into the environment can be made up from two air flows: renewal with heat recovery and air recirculation. The renewal and recirculation flows can be combined, if desired, depending on the flow rates and the type of treatment to be carried out.

4 How does Recupera Dry operate controlled mechanical ventilation system ensures constant air renewal in the respective rooms in the home, extracting it from the most polluted environments, such as bathrooms, kitchens and laundries; introducing fresh air, withdrawn from the common areas of the home such as the living room and bedrooms. With Recupera Dry, connected to the ventilation system and to the heating plant circuit, it is possible to treat the air and ensure maximum environment comfort and minimum air consumption. Intake of fresh air from the outside Stale return air from the inside The system consists of the following components: Expulsion stale air outside Room air recirculation Room air deliver pipe (renewal + recirculation) Recupera Dry: fans actioned by low consumption brushless motors, force inlet air flow (from internal rooms) and external air througout a high efficiency-crossed flows heat recovery unit. In this way the internal heat can be recobered. The air is taken from the rooms and from outdoors by the fans, and passes them through the recovery unit at highly efficient crossed flows, recovering the energy contained inside the hous. Remote ontrol for E motors: controls the ventilation flow rate and gives information on any filters cleaning or replacements. External air grills: allow inlet and expulsion of air, avoiding entrance to the building of foreign bodies and water. Piping: it is a piping network within the building that distributes and regulates air inside the building, avoiding transmission of noise inside the house. Terminals: they distribute the air flow inside rooms avoiding creation of annoying drafts and transmission of noise between different rooms.

6 Technical features The machine is made up from a galvanised sheet structure with particular heat and noise isolation which encloses: a direct expansion cooling circuit for dehumidification of the air, an additional finned heat exchanger to connect to the heating system for summer/winter integration, a high efficiency air/air heat recovery system, motorised dampers for the adjustment of the respective air flows, accessible G filters positioned in the respective unit air inlet pipes, two brushless variable flow electric fans, a condensate collection tray, an electric control board and a remote control panel to be installed on a guide in a wall-hung electric control board. The control panel has n. terminal boards, to which the following connections can be made: the connection to the machine, via the wires that allow the panel electric power supply ( V) and the serial communication with the circuit board; the digital consents for the various functions to activate; the two digital outputs with relay, which allow to activate a circulation pump and an alarm in the case of malfunctioning. Functions that can be activated via the digital inputs: current season; renewal (yes, no, automatic); dehumidification; cooling (heating in winter); attenuation of the air flow. Settings available from the keyboard: activation of the functions (as an alternative to digital consents); current time; current season (as an alternative to digital consent); air flow rate in delivery and renewal mode; normal delivery and integration temperature for each season; automatic renewal time bands (maximum ); flow rate attenuation time bands (maximum ). It is also possible to read the values of the machine temperature sensors; useful in the inspection or verification phase of correct operation. 8 SUMMER operating mode Only Renewal (neutral air) This mode is set by activating the RENEWL function (from the keyboard, or from the external contact DI0 via timer or O sensor). The recirculation damper K and L and the fans are turned on. The fresh air is cooled by the water coil and connected to the radiant system; consequently, to power this battery, an approval is sent to the N0 pump/valve output of the area/chiller/climate controller, and the air temperature is maintained equal to the neutral air temperature value, using a modulating valve type 0-0 Vdc (not provided) electrically connected to the output of dedicated Recover Dry. 9 Dehumidification only (recirculation with Dehumidification, neutral air) This mode is set by activating the DEHUMIDIFITION function (from the keyboard, or from the external contact DI0 via humidistat or dehumidification approval from the climate controller e.g. PO or from auxiliary contact hiller). The recirculation damper J, is opened, the compressor and the supply fan are turned on. The recirculation air is pre-cooled by the water coil connected to the manifold of the radiant system (consequently, to power this battery, an approval is sent to the N0 pump/valve output of the area/chiller/climate controller, and the 0-0 Vdc output is powered with a voltage equal to 0 Vdc, for the complete opening of a modulating valve (if present), not supplied, electrically connected to the output dedicated to Recupera Dry); the evaporator D performs the dehumidification. The refrigerant circuit is equipped with two condensers connected in parallel: the air-cooled condenser E water coled, and the plate condenser F which dissipates the excess condensation heat in the chilled water of the radiant system. The two electronic expansion valves present on the refrigerator circuit allow the condensation heat to be distributed in the desired proportion between the two exchangers, in order to obtain neutral air.
