Fan heaters : ditto above for the design and use. Built in control and safety thermostats, contactors, fuses, temporization of the fan. Cables : defrosting of grids, temperature maintenance of pipes 2. Description Devices water proof or not, explosion proof or not. Designed to be operational during and after earthquakes or not, to be used in corrosive or non corrosive areas (painted steel following paint system qualified, galvanized or stainless steel as appropriate). 3 CID12-10 February 22, 2012 To: All Sales Representatives Chromalox Obtains ASME Nuclear Accreditation In continuance of our tradition of striving for high quality and standards, Chromalox has recently been awarded the ASME certifications to mark equipment with the ASME Section III, N and NPT stamp for the nuclear industry. This valuable approval further expands Chromalox s portfolio of internationally respected third-party certifications. The ASME N stamp is required for pressure related components of designed equipment which is entering service in nuclear designated areas. The NPT is also required for nuclear areas, but applies more to component parts. This certification is highly valued in the nuclear industry. Only a handful of suppliers ever fulfill the stringent requirements that are required to pass inspection. Be sure to inform all of your power generation market customers that Chromalox continues to be committed to meeting their heat and control needs. Sales Information FAQ s How does the N and NPT stamp differ from the current ASME stamps Chromalox has? N & NPT stamps are specifically tailored for requirements of a nuclear facility. The design, material control, and testing are much more stringent than the typical ASME Chromalox provides. How can I leverage this certification if I have no nuclear construction in my area? The majority of equipment supplied to a nuclear facility is NOT at the building site. Equipment providers are located at many geographic locations. In addition, having ASME Nuclear certification can help to open the doors for nuclear suppliers at all levels. Having the certification will help to demonstrate Chromalox s knowledge in the nuclear industry. What type of products with the N or NPT stamp are applicable? N stamp applies to pressure components, such as Chromalox flanged and circulation heaters. NPT is more of a component certification for parts that will be integrated with other equipment. What type of heater application should I be searching for? Outside of the Nuclear Island, the applications are the same as you would see at any other power generation facility; tank heating, heat tracing, comfort, process air, etc. Please refer to the Chromalox Nuclear Process brochure for more details.

Wiegand name, were included in some of the first U.S. nuclear reactors through the height of the power plant building cycle.
