5 CBRN protection of helicopter and transport aircraft crews Assisted ventilation respirators for ground personnel Comprised of a mask and a portable ventilator compatible with flight equipment, our systems guarantee, for helicopter and transport aircraft crews, outstanding protection while they perform their mission. The filtered air flow is adjusted according to the breathing needs of the wearer without any discomfort from an excessive flow, which may affect visual performance due to dryness of the eyes. The ventilator is supplied by its own lithium battery, allowing protecting the wearer while being transferred on ground, outside the helicopter or aircraft. Supplied with air filtered by a portable ventilator, our respirators protect the persons by sparing them too much breathing effort, which could be detrimental to the fulfilment of their mission in proper conditions. By providing an air flow tailored to their needs, this ensures breathing comfort and increased protection factor. Equipment recommended for the Armed Forces, Special Forces and First Responders. It is equipped with an OPTI-FIT CBRN respirator, whose large panoramic lens guarantees a wide field of vision without any optical distortion. 6 CBRN collective filters CBRN protection for tents and mobile hospitals We design, produce and test ourselves our CBRN collective filters, intended for vehicles or ships as well as for fixed or mobile shelters, in compliance with NATO recommendations. Comprised of a very high efficiency paper stage enabling aerosols to be filtered and a bed of activated carbon intended to stop gases, our filters make up a range that can filter all possible air flows. For some applications, personal protection is not suitable, generating incompatible constraints for the pursuit of one s mission. This is particularly the case for medical treatment on the CBRN battlefield, which requires dedicated areas, pressurized with filtered air according to the principles of collective protection, as well as evacuation means that are in line with the threat. Pressurized by our air filtration units, CBRN tents allow occupants not to resort to wearing a respirator. 7 CBRN collective protection for vehicles and mobile shelters Collective CBRN protection for ships Specialists in collective protection, we design personalized air filtration units for vehicles and mobile shelters, in compliance with NATO recommendations in the field of protection and environmental constraints. Many battleships are equipped with our CBRN filtration stations, which enable them to go through a contaminated zone without having toxic agents penetrate into the ship. 8 CBRN collective protection shelters Due to its unrivalled experience in the design of CBRN fixed shelters, SP Défense offers turnkey solutions such as the tubular shelters set up by our company at the air bases of several NATO countries. Protecting against toxic agents as well as against explosion blast and nuclear radiation, our tubular shelters include technical premises, a decontamination path for personnel and a life zone. Provided with their own generators and resources needed in terms of drinks, food and fuel, they can hold about 100 people for three weeks, in complete autonomy. They can be used as a survival shelter, command post or medical post. We also work as consulting engineers for the design of fixed shelters that are compatible with the CBRN protection requirements, together with architects and contracting authorities. Before being installed on NATO bases, our tubular shelters were tested in real conditions against the blast resulting from the explosion of a conventional bomb or a nuclear device. However, they can also be installed deeper or in groundwater. Their modular structure enables them to be taken down with a view to reinstalling them at another site.
