3 Plan First things first, plan your kitchen layout STORGE The fridge and food cupboards PREPRTION The sink and main worktop area OOKING The oven and main hob What to consider when designing your ideal kitchen Measure your room On an 4 grid, outline your kitchen and add details of your wall widths at floor, worktop and unit height. Position the sink hoose the style you prefer (e.g. single or 1½ bowl), left- or right-handed, in your preferred location. Position your oven, hob and cooker hood Think safety and plan from the corner outwards. Leave plenty of space for pan handles and open doors.
