4 The ENVIOL MVR Plastic Evaporator. Never-before Concept Today, plastics are utilized in areas previously considered impossible. Industrial-scale evaporation is one of them. Envisol MVR's evaporation technique works in exaly the same way as conventional mechanical vapor recompression or multi-ef evaporators, but with a lower temperature difrence. The ENVIOL MVR is designed to work efficiently at low temperatures without steam or coolants, reducing operating costs drastically. Principle of Evaporation in an MVR Evaporator FROM CIRCULATION PUMP VAPOR FROM FAN TO CONDENATE TANK VAPOR TO FAN TO CIRCULATION PUMP The evaporator is based on the Mechanical Vapour Recompression principle. The energy source of the system is the latent heat released when the vapour evaporated from wastewater is condensed. This vapour is used as the heating medium after its pressure and temperature is increased using a high speed centrifugal fan as the vapour re-compressor. Preheated Effluent is pumped to the horizontal cylindrical vessel and uniformly distributed on the patented heat transr element made of polymer. The polymeric heat exchanger modules are placed one after the other along the length of the vessel. As the water flows down, evaporation takes place. The vapours are sucked by a highspeed centrifugal fan, which increases the pressure and saturation temperature. The saturated vapours condense on the inner surface of the polymeric heat exchanger and releases latent heat to the effluent. The clean condensate is then colleed in a pipe conneing all the heat exchanger modules at the bottom. The concentrated effluent is pumped out for disposal or further treatment in a crystallizer. 5 The ENVIOL MVR Advantages over Conventional Evaporators ENVIOL MVR Evaporator addresses three major drawbacks in conventional evaporators using small quantity of steam to recycle highly concentrated effluent or RO reje. Though evaporation is logically the most efficient treatment method for wastewater, it is not prerred due to high operating cost. But ENVIOL's patented polymeric heat exchanger, which has the 3-in-1-treatment method saves cost, reduces scaling and eliminates corrosion problems. 6 Envisol MVR for Zero Liquid Discharge ystem ENVIOL MVR saves upto 80% energy for ZLD system as compared to any other prevailing technologies. Large heat transr surface area and low-pressure operation enable the use of centrifugal fans and correspondingly low energy consumption. ENVIOL takes care of the solids in wastewater that are to be removed or recovered before release, which in turn ensures that the cleaned waste water is completely harmless. The chemical free process inside the heat exchanger, with the reduced number of stages in the process, makes the treatment system more conducive to the environment as well. Combination of MVRE system with crystallizer unit results in to complete separation of liquid i.e pure water & solids i.e crystals. The recovered water can be recycled in process, Boiler, Cooling Tower etc. olids can be either recycled back or used in secured land filling. Easy replacement of existing system ENVIOL MVR system design allows new innovations to be retrofitted to your existing plants.
