3 INTRODUCTION 3 Congratulations and thank you for purchasing this Gala product. This product must be installed in accordance with the current applicable regulations and following the corresponding instructions; any failure to comply will invalidate the guarantee. This Spa is designed for private installation and use. Gala shall not be responsible for any damage caused by the incorrect use of the product. 1. SPECIFICATIONS GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS: - Capacity: 1100 Litres. - Dimensions: 2130 x2130x920mm +/- 20 mm. - Weight (empty): 360 Kg. - Number of people: 5. - Electrical power supply: 220/240 V Single phase. - Maximum electrical consumption: 6.5Kw. RECEPTION OF THE EQUIPMENT The Spa must arrive at its destination in its original packaging. Once you have removed the packaging, thoroughly check the Spa before installing it and inform us of any irregularity you may find. Do not lift the Spa by the pipes, the electrical, hydromassage or filter units etc.; only lift by the aluminium Spa structure. Do not rest the Spa on its edges: always stand it on its legs. During the installation process, ensure that the interior of the Spa is protected by the cover that is included for this purpose. 3. PREPARATION OF THE INSTALLATION LOCATION When choosing the location for the Spa, you must take the following into account: - It must be installed on a rigid, level base to prevent it from sinking, bearing in mind the weight of the Spa when completely full (with water and people) and the consequent distribution of the load on the floor. The weight of the Spa when full and with 5 people inside is approximately 1900 Kg with a floor load of 420 kg/m². - A water source, drain and electrical connection are essential. The electrical connection must be made using a 4 mm² section 3-conductor cable suitable for 220/240V A.C. The earth connection must comply with the current applicable regulations. - To install and subsequently maintain the Spa, you must be able to access the internal components via the side panels. Consequently, the Spa must be in a position that allows easy access to the interior and there must be a gap of at least 0.6 m of free space on the control side, as shown in fig El Spa YARD cannot be built in to a space.

If you have decided to install the Spa in an enclosed space, please take the following into account: - The size of the Spa (fig. 2), for transport purposes. - The room must be well ventilated. - Due to the humidity that the Spa generates, the wall and ceiling materials must be steam-resistant. - Due to inevitable splashing, the floor material must be highly water-resistant, such as a plastic covering or floor tiles. If a carpet is used, it must be duly treated in order to prevent any bacteria caused by humidity. Use special marine rugs or carpets. The use of parquet or other wooden flooring is not advisable, unless duly treated for this purpose, such as wood for garden use or exterior construction. - It is advisable that the floor has a 2% slope towards a drain.

8 8 4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS The installation must be carried out by an authorised electrician. The equipment's internal connections have already been made in the factory. The electrical installation must be protected by means of a differential circuit-breaker, whose maximum shunt current must comply with local authority regulations, and a magnetothermic switch that is suitable for the Spa's consumption (see consumption levels in the list of specifications), which has omnipolar disconnecting switches and an opening distance of at least 3 mm. Both switches must be located outside the volumes shown in Fig EARTH CONNECTION For the correct operation of the differential circuit-breaker, the home must have an earth connection, in accordance with the current applicable regulations EQUIPOTENTIAL CONNECTION The Spa has a terminal for the 4 mm² cable that electrically joins all the metal parts of the device and that must be connected to the domestic network of equipotential connections. This terminal must not be connected to the Spa power supply's earth connection POWER SUPPLY LOCATION AND CONNECTION The electrical installation must be carried out in accordance with the current applicable low-voltage regulations. Therefore, it is important to take the following points into account: - If the power supply connection is made beneath the Spa, this must only be done using a connection system with a protection level of at least IPX5 and it must be more than 20 cm above the floor. Remember that the yellow/green earth wire must be at least 40 mm longer than the live and neutral wires, so that, in the event of the cable being pulled out, the earth wire will be the last to disconnect.

10 10 5. HYDRAULIC CONNECTION To make the hydraulic connection, use PVC pipes and an appropriate adhesive. Do not use metal pipes. Ensure there are no air pockets or stagnant water in the filling and draining connection. The draining circuit must guarantee complete drainage and, if the drain allows, a drain tap should be used to prevent bad smells. Once the installation is complete, start up the Spa and check that all seals are watertight. Mark the water level in the tub and check that the water level has not dropped after 24 hours. If there are any calcareous deposits, apply heavily-diluted acetic acid (vinegar).

FILLING AND DRAINING THE SPA 11 Water from the general drinking water network must be used to fill the Spa, using flexible hoses in one of three different ways: - Filling the Spa from the surface (using a hose or similar), without the need for any type of connection. - Temporarily connecting the hose to the Spa's filling connection (Fig. 6) and then disconnecting it when full. This means that the side panel has to be removed and replaced each time the Spa is filled or topped up. - Permanently connecting the hose to the Spa's filling connection (Fig. 6) and installing a stopcock outside the Spa, thus avoiding the need to remove and replace the side panel each time the Spa is filled or topped up. Fig.6 ½ filling tap with anti-return valve Drain cock, 1 3/4 stopcock M 7. VENTILATION The Spa may cause condensation due to the high water temperature. The Spa room must be adequately ventilated. Otherwise, in order to maintain air humidity at a constant temperature and prevent condensation forming on the ceiling and floor, it is advisable to install fans or dehumidifiers appropriate to the room size. If the Spa is in an external or open space, such devices are not necessary. To correctly preserve the wood, the relative air humidity in the room must be maintained below 65% when the Spa is not use. When the Spa is in use, it is normal for this value to reach 90 or 95%, due to the evaporation caused by the hydromassage and the movement of the water.
