Main safety catch - 12A The main safety catch f 12A is lcated in frntal part f the machine. In case f verlad, it prtects the press against damage. If the safety catch has been damaged, it shuld be replaced. Instructins fr replacement f the safety catch are given in chapter 4.3. Installatin - 12VAC All cntrl element f the machine are supplied with safe vltage f 12VAC. Vltage f 230 VAC is present nly in the back part f the device. Safety cupling The drawer mves autmatically. The mtr is prvided with a cupling ensuring safe peratin f the machine. The drawer can be stpped manually with hand. 1.5 Safety arrangements at the wrkspace Set-up and installatin f the machine The set-up and installatin f the machine has t be dne under supervisin f an authrized persn. The installatin has t be dne by 2 r mre persns fllwing the instructins f this manual. Testing the machine After a crrect installatin f the machine it is imprtant t ensure that the machine wrks prperly, isn't damaged and has n safety defects. The testing can nly be dne by the emplyer r ther authrized persns and is mandatry t guarantee crrect installatin and safe usage f the machine. The testing shuld be prtcled. If any irregularities regarding functinality r safety are fund during the testing, these have t been nted and reprted t Walter Schulze GmbH in written frm within 7 days. Until clarificatin the machine can nt be used. Infrmatin and Educatin Accrding t 81 industrial relatins law and 14 emplyment prtectin law the emplyer has t make arrangements t give all infrmatin abut the functin and the range f applicatin t the user. In particular the user needs t be acquainted with the cmplete manual and be explicitly infrmed f the dangers f wrking with the machine. The details have t be explained in a cherent frm and language. Safety instructin The machine shuld nly be used by trained persnal after ntice f this manual. Only ne persn is allwed t wrk n the machine at a time. The plug has t be pulled ut f the pwer utlet while maintenance. Cautin: please d nt cnnect this machine t any ther utlet (scket) than thse equipped with grund-fault prtectin ELCB (earth leakage circuit breaker). 4/12

5 2. Initiatin 2.1 Ntes regarding transprtatin The PRETREAT maker is packed with prtective film and fastened t a pallet. Right after receipt f the machine, cnditin f the packaging and the machine itself shuld be cntrlled. If the machine is t be sent t anther place later n, it shuld be packed and placed n the pallet in the same way. The device must be cleaned fr further transprtatin and cntainers fr water and precating liquid emptied. 2.2 Supply vltage The device is equipped with a plug. Special attentin shuld be paid t gd cnditin f a scket and presence f cnnected safety circuit inside. Very imprtant! The machine may be cnnected nly t an installatin prvided with a prtectin against electric shck. 2.3 Preparatin f the machine fr peratin The device may be perated by a persn trained and acquainted with a service manual. After remving the machine frm the palette and the remval f the prtective film can be fastened t the grund fur feet, and after remving the prtective tape tw knbs adjust the print range (picture belw). Prir t switching the machine n fr the first time, ne shuld check whether the prtective cable is crrectly cnnected. All cntainers (picture 1) shuld be cntrlled befre starting peratin. The cntainer with pre-cating liquid shuld be shaken every day (picture 2). 5/12

6 1. Fill the water cntainer up with distilled water. 2. Fill the pre-cating cntainer up with the liquid. This cntainer must be shaken every day (picture 2). 3. Make sure the waste-water cntainer is empty. 4. Turn all nzzles n. All blue dides must shine (picture 3). 5. Push the utlet pan dwn (pictures 4-5). 6. Press the PRETREATMENT push-buttn and hld it until the pre-cating liquid starts flwing frm the nzzles (picture 6). 7. Turn the first nzzle n the left n and press the PRETREATMENT push-buttn again. 8. Turn the first nzzle ff and the secnd ne n. Press the PRETREATMENT push-buttn again. 9. Prceed with the nzzles n. n. 3 and 4 in similar way. This prcess remves air bubbles frm the ducts. 10. If all nzzles dn t wrk identically, the prcedure given in pints 7-9 shuld be repeated. The prcedure given in pint 7-9 must als be repeated if the pre-cating cntainer has been empty, s the pump must fill in the ducts again. 2.4 Use and example f settings The PRETREAT maker is destined fr autmatic applicatin f pre-cat fr white ink in printers directly printing n fabrics. The device is equipped with 4 nzzles f 4-bar pressure each. Applicatin f the pre-cat is executed directly ver the fabric. The cntainers may nt be filled with ther liquids. Default setting fr the nzzles is 4 millisecnds f peratin and 4 millisecnds f break. 3. Wrk with the machine 3.1 Setting fr the pre-cat applicatin range Prir t cmmencement f wrk with the device, range f the pre-cat applicatin shuld be set. This range is set by means f hand-wheels and push-buttns (pictures 2-3) T set length f the pre-cat applicatin, use adequately the tw hand-wheels (pictures 1-2). T set width f the pre-cat applicatin, press adequately the push-buttns 1, 2, 3 r 4 n (picture 3). Then, pen the cver n the right side f the device (picture 1). The C change-ver switch allws selecting single r dual applicatin f the pre-cat n the fabric (picture 2). Select the right setting. 6/12

7 3.2 Example f settings fr electrnics The electrnics cntrls frequency f the nzzles peratin. The current setting may be checked r changed. In rder t check the electrnics setting, press the A push-buttn (1 sec.) and the current time f the nzzles peratin shall be shwn n the display, in millisecnds. Pressing the B push-buttn, shall result in displaying the current time f break between the nzzles peratin. 3.3 Setting f time and dual reprint Frequency f the nzzles peratin may be set by means f the A and B push-buttns. Press and hld the A push-buttn and the number n the display shall be changed. The number shall grw t the maximum value and then it shall return t the minimum value. This is the time f the nzzles peratin given in millisecnds. After reaching the required time, just let the push-buttn g f. The change shall be saved (picture 1). T change the break f the nzzles peratin time, press and hld the B push-buttn. The break time shall be shwn n the display, given als in millisecnds. After reaching the required time, let the push-buttn g f and the change shall be saved (picture 1). T switch the dual applicatin f the pre-cat n, turn the C switch int psitin 2. The machine shall apply the pr-cat twice first time when the drawer is pulled in, and the secnd time when the drawer is pulling ut (picture 1). 7/12

8 4. Maintenance 4.1 Maintenance The device shuld be cleaned with a dry cttn clth every day. The cntainers must be cntrlled many times during peratin f the machine Dn t let the liquid flw ver the waste-water cntainer. The cntainer shuld be emptied if the need arises (pictures 1-3). The cntainer with pre-cating liquid shuld be shaken every day and filter in the cntainer must always be immersed in the liquid (picture 4). 3. Check the cntainer with distilled water every day. 4. The nzzles must be kept clean. Instructins fr cleaning f the nzzles are given in chapter The utlet pan must be lwered every day after cmpletin f the wrk. Press and hld (6 sec.) the WATER (WODA) pushbuttn. This shall rinse the valves and nzzles with water (picture 5). 6. After rinsing, disassemble the nzzles. Instructin in chapter Prir t cmmencement f the wrk, install the nzzles and lwer the utlet pan. 8. Press and hld (6 sec.) the PRETREATMENT push-buttn until the nzzles start wrking at a unifrm rate (picture 6). 9. Then, raise the utlet pan nce again. 10. Definitely, after cmpletin f the wrk, dry the drawer, table and interir f the machine. 11. Make sure there are n effluents in the chamber with the cntainers. 8/12

9 4.2 Instructins fr replacement and cleaning f the nzzles T replace the nzzle, turn the machine ff and pull the plug ut f the scket. Then, prceed in accrdance with the fllwing instructins: 1) Press the white push-buttn t pull ut the drawer (picture 1). 2) Open the frnt cver (picture 2). 3) Lwer the utlet pan (pictures 3-5). 4) Turn the nzzle left and then pull it ut dwn (pictures 6-8). 5) Place a new nzzle and fix it in the machine. 6) The nzzle may be cleaned in an ultrasnic cleaner (picture 9). 7) The nzzle shuld be cleaned with distilled water. 9/12

10 4.3 Instructins fr replacement f the main safety catch If the machine des nt wrk after it has been turned n, the main switch-key shines and the display des nt shw any values, check the main safety catch. The main safety catch f 12A is lcated in frnt f the machine, right clse t the main switch-key (picture 1). T replace the safety catch, turn the machine ff and pull the plug ut f the scket. Then, unscrew the safety catch keeper (picture 2). Pull ut the safety catch (picture 3). Replace the safety catch (picture 4) and again screw the safety catch keeper in. 4.4 Instructins fr replacement f the filter If the dsage precating r water is nt smthly carried ut, check the filter, and if necessary it must be replaced. Open the cver. The filter is in a cntainer with liquid (picture 1). Remve the dispenser frm the cntainer (picture 2-3) and replace the filter (picture 4). 10/12
