38 Emergency Team Exercises Team Exercises CPNPP has four Emergency Response Teams (340 total members) Once a quarter a Emergency Response Team has an exercise to show proficiency in their Emergency Response Position. Every odd year (2019) CPNPP, Hood / Somervell Counties and the State of Texas performs an exercise which is evaluated by the NRC and FEMA.
39 Emergency Team Exercises Team Exercises Emergency Planning develops an exercise. Typical exercise consist of the following: Current status of the Units Meteorological Conditions Event Summary
40 Exercise Information CURRENT STATUS Unit 1 and Unit 2 at 100% power RHR PMP 1-02 is Out of Service for 6.9KV Breaker Servicing. Radwaste group is performing resin discharge from CVCS Demineralizer to the Spent Resin Storage Tank. METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS Temperature is 86 degree F and with a forecast high of 105 degreee F. Wind speed is 15 mph from direction 220 degrees. Stability class is E. A slight cold front is forecast for later in the day.
41 Narrative Summary Typical Scenario UNUSUAL EVENT - A 40-gpm reactor coolant system (RCS) leak occurs inside U1 Containment for greater than 15 minutes ALERT - Large Break Loss of Coolant Accident (LBLOCA) occurs in U1 Containment. SITE AREA EMERGENCY - The U1 Containment High Range radiation monitors (CTE-116/CTW-117) rise to approximately 95 R/hr. Greater than 85 R/hr (value established sufficient to drive later required PARs) (, FS1.1). GENERAL EMERGENCY - Unit 1 Containment Emergency Air Lock Radiation Levels increase to 275 mrem/hr. A report of steam coming from the area of the U1 Emergency Airlock enclosure.
