4 Responsibilities - Supervisors Review emergency procedures with employees annually Review business continuity plan annually and keep a copy of the plan off-site Ensure that visitors are familiar with high-level emergency procedures, including evacuation routes and assembly areas During an evacuation, instruct personnel to report to the designated assembly area At the assembly area, gather employees and conduct a thorough head count Notify Building Wardens of any missing employees Emergency Response Team Incident Commander (Police/Fire) Lead Building Warden Site Emergency Coordinator Alternate Lead Building Warden Security Guards Building Warden Area #1 Building Warden Area #2 Building Warden Area #3 Building/Fire Warden Role Lead the safe, timely response to emergencies Increase co-workers awareness of procedures, building layout, and life safety systems Assist and account for employees during emergencies/drills 4
5 Responsibilities - Wardens Participate in the following training activities: Building Warden Boot Camp [annually] On-site Emergency Team Roundtable Discussions [annually] Emergency drills and post-drill critiques [annually] Walkie-talkie roll call and Emergency Notification System tests [quarterly] Post-incident lessons learned discussions [upon request] Lead Building Warden (1) primary lead per building + (1) alternate Point of Contact between your company and Incident Commander Conducts roll call, requesting status reports Coordinates drills & equipment testing Distributes/stocks equipment Looks out for day-to-day safety Building Warden Recruitment Volunteer employees Work in office during most of the day Supervisors must support Need alternates Strive for complete floor coverage 5
