4 1. INTRODUCTION Jascon 31 is a DP-3 Support / Hook Up / Accommodation Barge for Deep / Shallow Water Operations. It s a highly versatile multipurpose vessel equipped with A1 Floatel facilities and is capable to support, General Offshore construction activities, provide extensive accommodation support for field / hook up support, Diving support and Sub-sea installation work. The Barge is fitted with a heavy duty 400 tonne active heave compensated general purpose offshore construction crane with underwater capabilities. The tall crane combined with the long boom makes it well suited to reach over offshore platforms or to stab over 70 m long jacket piles. This specification may be read in conjunction with the following drawing: Drawing No.: J HA,R21, ML GENERAL ARRANGEMENT The Barge is provided with electric driven thrusters to assist the Kongsberg Dynamic Position System and classed as ABS DP-3 Barge. The Helideck is suitable for Sikorsky S92A Helibus and compliant with CAP437 and ABS Classification Rules. A 42 m long hydraulic heave compensated Aluminium Gangway is provided for personnel transfer to the Offshore Platforms and FPSO Vessels. The main Hull, Accommodation block and all Equipment on the Barge are fully compliant with the Fire Safety and Life Saving requirements accordance with the latest SOLAS, Statutory and ABS Classification Rules and Regulations. 5 2. CLASSIFICATION / REGISTRATION The Barge is owned by a single ship company based in the British Virgin Islands and operated by Sea Trucks Group FZE. The Barge is currently registered under Gibraltar Flag. The complete Barge, including the Hull, Main Machinery and Auxiliary Equipment, Accommodation and all Outfitting, is constructed under the supervision of American Bureau of Shipping (ABS Rules for Classification of Steel Barges) and with the following ABS Class Notation. ABS notation: A1, BARGE, Circle E, PAS, DPS-3, CRC All engineering, drawings and specification are in accordance with the applicable rules, standards and codes as mentioned below. Rules and Regulations The latest revisions of the Rules and Regulations of the Classification Society and Governing Authorities have been applied: 1. ABS Rules for Classification and Building of Steel Barges; 2. ABS Rules for Classification of Mobile Offshore Units (for structural items not covered by Ship Rules); 3. MODU Code, Chapter 9, Fire and Safety Requirements for Offshore operation; 4. IMO MSC Circ 645, guidelines for barges with DP systems; 5. International Convention on Load Lines 1996 with declaration Resolution A231 (VII) and A 320 (IX); 6. International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, Consolidated Edition 2004 including all amendments in force as applicable for Barges built to ABS Class rules; 7. The Helideck facilities are built to ABS certification according to CAP 437- Dec Guidelines. The deck has a D value of 22.2 m and has all the required fire fighting requirements, incl. foam system, and safety appliances as required by Regulations. The Helilounge is placed nearby the Helideck and offers seating capacity for 36 persons for briefings. The Helilounge has a TV/Video set to display safety film instructions and entertainment while waiting for the helicopter. All necessary equipments like X-ray, Luggage Scanner and Luggage Scale are available along with a Fire Safety Locker. FABRICATION SPREADS & LIFTING APPLIANCES 4.1 General The Barge has a very large clear area of approx m 2, on the Main deck which is suitable for general fabrication spreads, cargo transportation, etc. The open deck is designed to be capable of taking a deck loading of up to 10T/m 2. There are numerous storage facilities throughout the vessel. A moon pool with clear opening of approx. 7500x5500mm is available near mid ship SB to assist in under water operations. The Barge is provided with a double deck fabrication area with overhead trolley hoists below A deck. 4.2 Cranes Main Crane (Huisman Offshore Crane) A 400 MT offshore deepwater mast crane is installed with an active heave compensation system. All deck power receptacles are fused isolator 3 phase 60Hz, 440V supplies. 230V Supplies are also available. 230 V sockets on board the vessel are western european standard sockets. 4.4 Compressed Air Supplies Two (2) service air compressors, which provide a working pressure of 10 bar at a flow rate of 25m 3 /min. All air connections are fitted with ¾ inch Universal Dead-End Couplings and Ball valves. 4.5 Deck Water Supplies Helideck foam / General Service Pump is capable of supplying pressurized seawater to the main deck for third party use. 4.6 Workshop On the main deck level a covered deck store and a work shop are provided adjacent to the fabrication work shop. 16 4.7 Gangway An ABS certified hydraulic telescopic offshore personnel transfer gangway of 36,5m +/- 5,5m is installed on main deck which can be positioned on the aft of the barge either PS or SB side. When in use, the gangway will be connected to the other vessels or fixed platforms. The gangway is designed, manufactured and tested by Marine Aluminium (MA) and is a standard type supplied for offshore projects. The gangway is designed and supplied to the following rules: Norwegian Maritime Directorate (NMD) Draft of , (For gangway +steel tower) (The Norwegian standards require that the gangway is fully loaded with people and that the gangway is able to support the load even when disconnected from FPSO.) 17 5 DYNAMIC POSITIONING, GENERATORS, AUX. EQUIPMENT 5.1 Dynamic Positioning The vessel s thrusters can be controlled as follows: 1 Manual levers; 2 Dynamic Positioning (DP) System - As an automatic function through Kongsberg (K-POS and K-THRUS); 3 Centralized manual joystick. The system comprises of the following principal units: - Four (4) Fixed pitch retractable azimuth thrusters for propulsion units, electric driven, 1600 kw, manufacturer HRP / 7111 RT EP - One (1) bow-thruster, 1355 KW, electric driven, manufacturer Wartsila / CT225M-D CP - One (1) Retractable fixed pitch azimuth stern-thruster, electric driven, 1000 kw, manufacturer Wartsila / FS / 750 Kongsberg supplies: The vessel has a Kongsberg Class-3 fully Integrated Dynamic Positioning and Automation System (IDPAS). The main DP control is a Kongsberg K-Pos DPC-2 dual redundant system, the back-up DP control system is a Kongsberg K-Pos DPC-1. They comprise of the following components: Reference Systems: - 2 x Radius 1000; independently operated. - 1 x Lightweight Taut Wire for 300 m water depth; - 2 x DPS Receivers; - 3 x Gyro Compass; - 3 x Motion reference units; - 3 x Wind sensors; - 1 x HIPAP 500. 18 - 1 x Cyscan MK3-1 x Gangway ( if connected ) All position reference s can be integrated in the DP system. The system is capable of being fully customized. 5.2 Electrical installation General requirements The electrical equipment is suitable for a humid, salt laden atmosphere and is proof against vibrations and accelerations normal to a marine environment. The following electric systems are installed on board: - 690v 60 Hz. 3 ph. for Thrusters, Main crane; - 440v 60 Hz. 3 ph. for high load consumers including TTS Crane, Gangway, etc.; V, 60 Hz, for lighting and small consumers; - 24 V, DC for general alarm, main diesel control, emergency lighting system, talkback installation and engine room alarms. The barge electrical systems comply with normal marine standard. The following Main Switchboards are installed on board: - Two (2) 690 V MSB; one (1) in port and one (1) in starboard; - Two (2) 440 V MSB; one (1) in port and one (1) in starboard; - Two (2) 220 V MSB; one (1) in port and one (1) in starboard; - One (1) 220 V MSB; used for cabin re-heaters. 19 Switchboards are to be dead and front type with steel construction and seat supporting framework complete with horizontal insulated handrail and ventilation louver suitable for marine duties. 5.3 Generators Main generators The seven generators, which are installed under deck, are of the brushless type, totally enclosed construction, suitable for parallel operation. 20 High pressure cleaning machine, mobile unit; Fuel meter with printer; Various system service pumps as follows: 6 ACCOMMODATIONS & CREWING 6.1 Accommodation The Jascon 31 is a fully air-conditioned, permanent accommodation for up to 469 persons in 1P, 2P and 4P cabins all with individual bathroom facilities. Senior officers are provided with 1P suites. 21 Facilities for offices, conference rooms, cinema, galley and mess room, gymnasium and recreation rooms are provided as necessary. Separate well-equipped laundry facilities are available for use. Change rooms with lockers are arranged on the main deck with a section of the space assigned for female crew. Barge complies with IMO code for Noise levels on board ships, A 468 X11. The Barge has a well-equipped medical treatment room with a 3-bed hospital. Easy access door is positioned on the aft bulkhead of deck house to ensure quick access for stretchers in the Treatment Room. Beside this is the Sick bay with a capacity if 3 beds for further treatments and care in case of severe casualties Entertainment System All cabins and public rooms have TV aerial sockets. 22 7 MOORING EQUIPMENT 7.1 The vessel is fitted with the anchor windlasses, chains and self stowing anchors that meet the ABS Class requirements. 23 8 SAFETY APPLIANCES 8.1 General The Barge is fitted with safety appliances in accordance with SOLAS 74, as modified by the Protocol of Fire Pumps - Two (2) main fire pumps, each with capacity of 100 m 3 /hr at 7 bars; - One (1) jockey pump capable of 40 m 3 /hr at 7 bars is also available; - One (1) helideck firewater pump, with capacity of 200 m 3 /hr at 10 bars. Separate foam fire fighting skid including foam concentrate pump is installed below helideck. 8.3 Fire Hoses / Hydrants There are approx. 50 hydrants located around the vessel. 24 The ship is equipped with a large inventory of fire extinguishers based on ABS rules. Galley is provided with ABS approved type chemical fire fighting extinguishing system. 8.5 Helideck Fire fighting Equipment The Helideck Foam System installed is in accordance with the requirement of CAP 437 (Dec 2008) & ABS regulations. Three nos. fire monitors are provided as per Rules. The Foam Control Station consists of foam tank, foam proportionator and foam pump all mounted on a foam skid. Water is being drawn from the Fire pump through the foam proportionator then to the fire monitor. The foam liquid is being fed by a foam pump into the main foam line through an automatic foam proportionator in order to have a foam mixture to be supply to the three (3) foam monitors. 8.6 CO 2 Fire Fighting System All machinery spaces and paint locker are protected with fixed CO 2 fire protection systems, as per Regulations. 8.7 Fire Monitoring System All accommodation & machinery spaces are protected and monitored by a fire detection system using heat and smoke detectors. Activation of a sensor will cause the emergency alarm to sound and an indication shown in the Working Bridge, Wheelhouse and ECR control panels. 8.8 Fireman s Outfits Rev. 10 Updated 28 Jun 2011 Page 24 of 30

Machinery spaces are monitored from the ECR, Chief Engineer s and Chief Electrician office. Accommodation Security & Deck cameras will be monitored from the Security position Working Bridge. Hydraulic Gangway from the DP operators position in the Working Bridge. 11. IAMS System A Kongsberg K-Chief Integrated alarm & monitoring system ( IAMS) is installed on the barge used for vessel management.
