15 The company was originally registered in 1979 as a three way joint venture called Arabian TR Oil Services. In 1982, Ali A Tamimi bought out the other Saudi partner to take control of the company with a 51% shareholding. The company blends oil field chemicals for domestic and export clients. The main products are demulsifiers, biocides, scale and corrosion inhibitors for treatment of oil and gas production facilities. Main client in Kingdom is Saudi Aramco, with sales also made to workover companies such as Slumberger, MI, and Halliburton. Sales of start up first fill products are made to turnkey construction companies such as Tekfen, Siepem and Snamporgetti. A blending plant was built in the Second Industrial City in Dammam. The plant has been developed and improved over the years and now operates three blending vessels, two made of stainless steel for water based chemicals and one mild steel unit for oil based formulations.
