A network of small electronic modules (agents) harvests information coming from sensors installed on points of interest, then this information is urgently sent via TCP/IP to the monitoring server: PandoraFMS PandoraFMS is in charge of processing all the data harvested on the sensors and equipment connected to the Octopods Monitoring agents. After proper processing PandoraFMS provides full management and control: Mass storage of historical data, incident and event notification, statistic reporting, SMS message notification, , SNMP, etc.

From small IT installations to complex Datacenters. Anything can be monitored. PandoraFMS Ready: Octpodod agents had been designed to avoid complex configurations. Immediate integration with PandoraFMS is guaranteed. Just using an standard serial port and a simple terminal software is enough to configure an agent. Easy installation: Octopod agents have small size and their enclosure provides anchoring brackets, allowing thus installation on almost any place: Technical floors, Ceilings, Ventilation grids, Racks, Technical cabinets,etc. Scalability Guaranteed: Ethernet is a proven scalable bus, and PandoraFMS supports agents. Just install as much agents as you need. Ethernet connection: Octopod agents use Ethernet connection to send data, being able to use already existing networks on the monitored environment. The use of standard Ethernet provides the ability to create endless setups: Remote access, Wireless links, Routing, UMTS/GPRS routing,etc. Industrial Standards: Dry-contact inputs on the Octopod agents guarantee interaction with almost any kind of service equipment: UPS, Electric generators, Air conditioners, Fire Alarms, Access controls, etc. There are also available 4-20mA, 0-5v and 0-10v converter modules allowing integration of any industrial sensor or signal on the market.

Any technician can create a sensor cable in a few seconds just using Ethernet wire and a crimp tool. (2) Dry-contact: There are lots of sensors and equipment having the ability to notify alarms or events just opening or closing an electrical contact. Octopods Agents provide dry-contact inputs ready to receive this kind of notifications.
