2 Welcome! KraftigLED is an Irish owned and run bespoke LED design and manufacturing company. Set up in 2015 and based in Ireland and China, KraftigLED produce the world s most efficient and long lasting LED lights. Our Irish owners and managers have a combined 18 years experience producing ultra high efficiency LED lights. As an Irish owned and operated company, we create Bespoke designs to provide OEM manufacturing or solution based products. We design Ultra high efficiency LED lighting to maximise savings for customers - we produce lights up to 2.5 times more efficient than other LED lights. Our extremely long lifetime LED lights - up to 6X times that of our competitors - ensures the lowest possible lifetime cost of ownership. We provide tailored solutions for our customers to allow for minimal disruption, as well as retrofits to maximise our customers return on investment. We provide custom OEM manufacturing, providing high quality products for our distributors. We make highly specialised products - for example, our UVfree minimal blue LEDs which allow for elimination of UV filter in UV sensitive manufacturing. These products are in use with some of the world s largest pharmacuetical companies. We also provide tailored colour temperatures for specialised retail lighting, and Intelligent lighting systems such as our auto dimming carpark lights, master-slave systems, 2.4g remote controled lights and zigbee systems. 3 A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits visible light when an electric current passes through it. By applying particular mixtures of Phosphor any shade of white light can be achieved. The Basics of LED Lighting... LED lights are made up of circuit boards containing a number of individual LEDs. Not all LEDs are the same. The quality of an LED, its lifetime and colour stability and efficiency can vary greatly. quality LEDs will have an LM80-08 report that will have tested the LEDs for 6,000hrs and determined how stable the colour is and how great the light level drop over time will be. Poor Quality LEDs are Expensive The quality of the LED light fixtures are important. A quality LED fixture will have an LM79-08 report that will have tested the Colour Temperature (Shade of white), the Light Quality or CRI (how closely the light resembles natural sunlight), the efficiency (how much light per watt of electricty you get) and the efficiency of the power supply. Lifetimes of LEDs vary greatly. Low quality LEDS may have a lifetime of just 20,000hrs compared to the 150,000hr lights KraftigLED manufactures. This means a difference in lifetime of only 2.5years to over 17years at 24/7 operation. Efficiencies of LEDs vary greatly from lumens per circuit watt to over 180 lumens per circuit watt for the LED lights manufactured by KraftigLED. For example, a super low energy high frequency T5 fluorescent panel light fixture for an office will produce around 60 lumens per watt of light; a low quality LED panel will produce around 70 lumens per watt, providing very little saving; but a KraftigLED panel light produces up to 165lumens per watt which is more than 65% saving in power. For some lights, KraftigLEDs lights achieve over 90% energy savings. To realise a justifable payback, a high energy saving must be achieved, and to achieve an attractive return on investment a long lifetime must exist to allow lifetime savings to greatly exceed the inital capital expediture. Poor quality LEDs, while initially low cost, provide neither the energy saving nor the lifetime to give an economic return on investment. 5 Retail Lighting KraftigLED makes a range of high efficiency long life LED lights ideal for retail lighting Retail Lighting requires High CRI LEDs for perfect colour representation. A range of colour temperatures is desirable, from very warm white 2700K to cool white 6500K. We provide tailored colour temperatures for the correct display of goods, such as warm white for furniture, and daylight 5000K for jewellery. General Lighting Downlights KraftigLED s 8 inch recessed downlights produce over 2,200 lumens for a mere 15w 3000 lumen 8 inch and 10 inch options provide a more asthetically pleasing and cost effective alternative to traditional Fluorescent panel lights Focused Beam Downlights KraftigLEDs have a super long lifetime for low maintenence, 30w pull down light replaces 70w Metal Halide lights. Single, double and triple recessed display lights up to 30w each will replace up to 3 by 70w Metal Halide lights. 6 Retail Food Lighting KraftigLED builds custom LED light fixtures with tailored wavelengths enhance natural colours in meat and bread products Our High efficiency LEDs save over 60% on traditional fluorescents. No UV and IR radiation means spoil rate of foods is greatly reduced (Fluorescent lights produce up to 10,000 times more UV than our LEDs). Customers generally begin rejecting meat products when they hit 20% discolouration, the time for this to happen is slowed using our specialised LEDs. Less heat is produced, leading to less condenser cycling, which results in refrigeration energy savings. Food Display Lighting Elimination of UV radiation by using either the UV filter or a low-uv lamp can significantly extend the display life of meat, to one similar to that of meat held in the darkness (Djenane et al 2001) UV light produced serious discoloration in product displayed at 5 C and even at 0 C (Hood 1980). Even a short exposure to UV light was found to be detrimental to meat color (Renerre 1990). Longer shelf life results in less waste and spoilage, improving profits for retailer. Higher light levels can be acheived while still saving energy. There is also the advantage of having greatly reduced maintenance costs.

10 Agricultural/Industrial Lighting KraftigLED build LED fixtures for the harshest environments with corrosive atmospheres We provide tailored colour temperatures for all livestock housing with dimming power supplies that are compatable with all dimming systems such as DALI, 0-10v, 1-10v and Triac systems. Our T8 tubes are ideal for retrofitting into existing fixtures and come with external power supplies for maximum safety and to produce lifetimes 3-4 times of competitors LED tubes. We have sucessfully completed retrofit projects in poultry houses providing very high efficiency LED lights that have the full range of dimming. We provide full polycarbonate integrated T8 IP65 waterproof fixtures for low cost fixtures with over 130 lumen per watt efficiency to give over 75% savings over traditional fixtures. In addition we have a range of Floodlights for area lighting both indoors and out with no glass for maximum robustness. 12 LED Custom projects KraftigLED have completed a number of sucessful custom retrofit projects. We design and build custom light engines to retrofit into existing fixtures to allow for cost effective upgrade solutions. These are ideal for Street lights, Tunnel Lights, Canopy lights and other recessed fixtures. We use high quality optics to achieve a range of beam angles for every application and lightweight phase change heatsinks to produce compact low running temperature light engines. LED Custom retrofit plates KraftigLED build high efficiency LED retrofit plates to upgrade existing fixtures. Available with DALI, 0-10v, 1-10v and Triac dimming power supplies. Our 100w plate produces over 124 lumens per watt and ideal replacement for 250w HPS street and tunnel lights Lightweight phase change heatsinks are compact and easily fit most fixtures, in some cases the weight of fixture will reduce.
