3 Company Information is a supplier of electronics and software for scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and related microanalysis applications. The company was established in 1992 by a team from the Physics Department of the Martin Luther University in Halle (Saale) to focus on digital image acquisition and analysis products for SEM, and has expanded over time to cover complete software control of electron optic columns and custom development for a range of specialized applications. Recent product developments include specimen current techniques (EBIC, EBAC and RCI), 3D surface techniques for SEM (topography and 3D scanning), high temperature BSE detectors and EBAC electronics for ESEM. PNDetector was founded in 2007, with an emphasis on producing innovative and efficient modern silicon radiation detectors for quality assurance and materials science. The company s focus is on developing high resolution and ultrafast sensors for electrons and X-rays. PNDetector fabricates in its own high-quality cleanroom facilities. Its competences comprise design and layout, the silicon chip fabrication, modern packaging techniques, electronic development and system engineering. The detector range includes electron detectors for microanalysis, silicon drift detectors for X-ray spectroscopy and pnccd camera systems for imaging of electrons and X-rays.
