The Union County Sr. Fair board will not be responsible for entries that are not picked up by 12:00 p.m. Premiums will be available for pick up beginning Tuesday, July 24 through Saturday, July 28 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Hospitality Center (Ag Ed Bldg.) and Sunday July 29 between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in Merchants 1/T-Building. No exceptions, please. No premiums will be paid after 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29 and premiums will not be mailed.
2 Auction Goods proceeds may be picked up in the Senior Fairboard Office beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 27 until close of Fair on Saturday, July 28. Proceeds will be in check form. No checks will be mailed. Baked goods ribbons may also be picked up in the Senior Fairboard Office after judging. Contact: Any additional questions can be answered via at Open Class Departments Garden Products Department A Vegetables and Fruits Entries are to be displayed on a paper plate, size suitable to exhibit, supplied by the Exhibitor. Remove all stems from tomato entries; stems damage the fruit. Trim all tops on carrots, beets, etc. to 1 inch. Trim stems on squash, zucchini to 1 inch. Trim stems on onions to 1 inch and DO NOT PEEL. Clean soil from existing peel. Keep a minimum of a 2 inch stem on pumpkins and gourds. Keep stems intact on all cucumbers. Clean all fruits and vegetables, NO wax or oil! One entry per person, per class!
