WEDNESDAY JULY 26, No entry fee is charged in this department. Exhibitors ticket $8.00 must be purchased when entries are made. 2. Each Exhibitor will be allowed one entry in each class. 3. Amateur classes are open to those who grow flowers and plants for pleasure. Members of commercial growers or florist s families are excluded. 4. Judging will begin at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday August 1, 2017 and at 11:00 A.M. Friday August 4, All entries must be in place at 11:00 A.M. without exception. 5. All entries must be cleaned and well-groomed and kept in good condition during the show. Exhibitors are responsible for keeping water on their entries. 6. Premium money and ribbon will be forfeited by an exhibitor who removes any entry or parts thereof before the time specified below. 7. Exhibits judged Tuesday, August 1, 2017 must remain in place until 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 3, 2017 and must be picked up by 6:00 P.M. August 3, 2017 to make room for the Friday Gladiolus and Potted Plant show unless special arrangements are made with the show committee. Exhibits judged Friday must remain in place until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, August 6, 2017 and must be picked up by 6:00 P.M. Sunday, August 6, Fair assumes no responsibilities for containers during show or for those remaining after removal time. Exhibitors must furnish own containers. Exception: See Rose Section Rules. 9. Included in some arrangements classes are specific types of plant material allowed. Entries in specimen and arrangement classes will be disqualified for not meeting specifications. They may be given a place if the class is not full. 10. As many arrangements as possible will be shown in Triptychs 24 inches wide. All arrangements should fit into the space and should not touch the sides or back. Height of arrangements does not have to fit a space unless otherwise noted. 11. Fresh plant material may not be altered in any way such as painting, dyeing, etc. Where dry material is permissible, it may be treated. 12. No artificial plant material allowed in show. 13. All specimen cut flower entries must be outdoor grown by exhibitor. 14. Plant material should predominate in all arrangements. 15. American flags are not allowed in any exhibit of the floriculture show. 16. If you know the variety name of your entry, please include it on your entry tag, this way the people walking through after judging can learn from your exhibits. For example, in the Petunia Class, write Peppermint Swirl on the tag. 17. In cut flower classes, a stem may include multiple blooms and buds. 18. Judging announcements will occur at 2 P.M.
