12 RULES 1. Exhibitors may enter 2 exhibits in each Class in all Sections except Sections B and L and may be awarded 2 prizes. Only the highest prize will count towards points for trophies. Exhibitors may enter only one exhibit in each Class in Sections B (Premier) and L (Novelty Veg). Points will be awarded in all Classes except those in Sections B and L: 1 st 5 points; 2 nd 3 points; 3 rd 1 point, but in Classes A42 and E3 points will be 1 st 12 points; 2 nd 8 points; 3 rd 4 points. 2. Exhibits are to be displayed on plates, boards, or trays as and where appropriate and these are to be supplied by the Exhibitor. Exhibits in Section C are to be staged in vases supplied by the Club. 3. ALL EXHIBITORS ARE HELD TO DECLARE THAT THEIR EXHIBITS HAVE BEEN GROWN BY THEM FOR AT LEAST SIX WEEKS OR ARE THEIR OWN WORK. Exhibits shown in any previous Lhanbryde Flower Show may NOT be exhibited in this flower show. 4. ENTRIES FROM NOVICES (FIRST TIME EXHIBITORS) SHOULD HAVE A LARGE X MARKED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THEIR ENTRY ENVELOPES in order that their exhibits may be considered for the award for Best Novice in Section. 5. Only Exhibitors, Stewards and Committee Members are allowed in the Hall during the staging of Exhibits. Only Officials are allowed in the Hall during judging. 6. The Secretary will record the Judges' decisions, which will be final. The record will be the official prize list. 7. For purposes of the Show a local resident shall be any person residing within the Parish of Lhanbryd and Urquhart. 8. Exhibits must not be uplifted until 4.00pm. Note that, with the exception of exhibits in Sections B, E, and K, any exhibits that remain after 4.30pm will become the property of Lhanbryde and District Gardening Club. 9. The Committee will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any article while under their charge; at the same time every care will be exercised to prevent anything of the kind taking place. 10. Class A43 Box of Fruit & Vegetables is to be a minimum of two kinds (not varieties) of fruit and two kinds (not varieties) of vegetables in any number of each shown in a box not exceeding 60cm x 45cm. This Class is to encourage the exhibition of a range of kitchen vegetables and fruits. The produce should be clean, appetising, and ready for use in the kitchen, and the judges will look for variety, cleanliness, freshness, and quality of produce - ie the contents should look tempting, tasty, and good enough to take straight to the kitchen.

16 Best Lhanbryde Gardens Competition Competition for the best front gardens in the village of Lhanbryde, to be judged during August from the road or pavement outside the garden (so no access is required). Craigie Cup and 20 voucher for the best Large Garden. Rosemary Merson Shield and 10 voucher for runner-up. Jura Cup and 20 voucher for the best Small Garden. Will-Mar Cup and 10 voucher for the runner-up. Best Hanging Basket in Lhanbryde Sponsored by Threaplands Garden Centre, this competition is for the best hanging basket in the village of Lhanbryde, to be judged during August from the road or pavement outside the garden (so no access is required). The Gardener's Quaich and a Threaplands voucher for the best Hanging Basket. Gardens and baskets will be photographed during judging and the photos displayed at the Flower Show and thereafter on our web-site The winners will be notified and their prizes will be presented at the Flower Show.
