All exhibits must be grown by the Exhibitor, except in General Horticultural and Floral Art Sections. 2. ENTRIES CLOSE ON FRIDAY 20 th JULY ALL SECTIONS. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. 3. All exhibits must be staged by 7.30 a.m on 4 th AUGUST. The Flower and Vegetable Marquee will be open for staging ALL DAY (from 9.30 a.m) AND EVENING ON FRIDAY 3 rd AUGUST and from 6 a.m on SATURDAY 4 th AUGUST. The Marquee will be closed for judging at 7.30 a.m on 4 TH AUGUST. 4. The judges will be empowered to reduce or withhold any prizes or to award special prizes at their discretion. 5. All exhibitors whose entries total 4 or more will receive a free ticket to the Showground. Car passes will be available for exhibitors in sections 1, 6 & 7 with entries over A subscription to the Society of entitles exhibitors to make entries at half price. 7. The decision of the Judges is final and any person who wishes to lodge an objection against any exhibit must do so in writing and hand it to the Horticultural Section Chairman before 3 p.m on Show Day, together with a deposit of 5. If the objection is upheld by the committee the deposit will be returned, otherwise it will be forfeited to the Society. 8. The words "kind" and "variety" are used in this Schedule in the following sense:- Roses, Potatoes and Onions are distinct "kinds" of flowers and vegetables. Desiree and King Edward are distinct "varieties" of potatoes. 9. Tabling will be provided if required. 10. All vases, containers, plates and staging must be supplied by the exhibitors. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ABOVE WILL BE WITH THE EXHIBITOR. THE COMMITTEE WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OF ANY ITEM USED IN THE SHOW.
2 11. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to ensure that the correct exhibitor card is placed under their correct exhibit ready for judging. 12. The Floral Art will be judged according to NAFAS COMPETITIONS MANUAL A copy is available from Please Note: Prize money will be available from the Flower and Vegetable Marquee from 4.00 pm until 5.00 p.m. Please bring white exhibitor cards with prize labels attached for identification. Money not collected will be returned to the Society. 14. The time of dismantling will be 5.30 p.m. No exhibit may be removed prior to this time. 15. ENTRANTS PLEASE NOTE:- Entrants may reserve any of the items in their exhibit during the day but they may not be removed before the general dismantling time of 5.30 p.m. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the forfeiture of any prize money due or payment of the current trade stand charge will be levied.
