The Next Generation Hi-Q Series SubWoofers are hand built in the USA using high-quality essential components engineered to exhibit superior performance and sound quality. The Motor/Magnet is a Y35 grade ferrite with 1008 low carbon steel with added pole vent for increased coil cooling. The Cone body is composed of a non-press spruce pulp with PVA coating on the face. The Hi-Qs feature multilayered multi-treated tall roll Nomex surround for increased cone area displacement. Also, a 2.5" copper round clad aluminum (CCAW) Voice Coil wound on a black anodized (BAA) aluminum former for decreased weight and increased power handling. All adhesion work is done using Our high temperature two part epoxy resin specially formulated to handle high power applications. No CA's used for assembly here! SOLID 12-spoke cast aluminum basket with 12 under spider cooling vents.
