2 INTERNAL SHUTTERS Boardwalk offers the complete range of internal shutters, from Sentosa Shutters for bathrooms and wet areas, through to our sophisticated timber shutters for those looking for a more traditional look. We present all our shutters evenly, and it will be your window sizes, design ideas and how you intend to use the shutters on a daily basis that will help determine the right product for you. For example, some of the materials are capable of wider spans than others. There are some materials better suited to wet areas, whilst other products in our range can be custom painted to suit existing decor. Selecting the right shutters is best decided in your home with one of our experienced sales staff and we offer an obligation free measure and quote service. The materials we offer have been in our range and the Australian market for many years and are well trusted and proven performers. We have completed thousands of installations in homes, businesses, hotels and resorts throughout Western Australia and beyond, and we are very proud of our track record and reputation. All our internal shutters are custom manufactured and imported from well established suppliers using reputable material sources. Shutters are sold as a cosmetic product, to add control over privacy, light and thermal conditions within the home. They do not provide full block out of light, and varying light gaps will feature between the blades due to the tolerances in materials and manufacture. This is an industry standard. 4 Our Sentosa fauxwood shutters are extruded using a synthetic non toxic material and can be used in wet areas or throughout the home. To reduce the weight of the product and to provide added stability in the absence of a grain, aluminium louvre inserts are used in all panels. Vertical stability is also provided with aluminium reinforcing in each side of the panel. 7 MOTORISATION Most of our roller blinds can also be motorised delivering effortless operation. Battery systems using internal rechargeable lithium-ion batteries can be installed without the need to engage an electrician saving time and money. These venetians are ideal for all areas in your home and are also suitable for wet areas. They are available to suit windows up to 2700mm wide and come in a range of five on-trend colours in both 50mm and 63mm blade size. Paris Venetians Tuscany Venetians - Our best value range Boardwalk s Tuscany Venetians provide an affordable solution for any room in your home including all your wet areas. Made from 100% PVC they offer a great heat rating as well as meeting all Australian standards. They are suitable for window spans of up to 2700mm wide. The are available in a great range of five designer colours in 50mm blades width to suit almost any décor. Made from 100% natural plantation timber these venetians offer the best heat rating and look fantastic! These venetians are ideal for most windows in your home but are not recommended for wet areas. 16 ALFRESCO BLINDS Tired of the weather conditions limiting the use of your alfresco or patio? Imagine being able to enjoy your outdoor space all year round. As well as being market leaders in outdoor shutters Boardwalk are an authorised retailer of Ziptrak one of the most trusted names in alfresco blinds. These blinds are guided smoothly through vertical tracks and can be left in any height position for greater flexibility. Ziptrak incorporates a patented spring-balanced system that eliminates the use of unsightly zips, cords, ropes or wires and makes operation almost effortless. The unique central lock system supplied as standard on all Boardwalk Ziptrak awnings allows the blinds to be held securely in the fully down position against windy conditions. The design also grips tightly in the vertical tracks to stop rattling in the wind. Boardwalk Ziptraks can cover an area up to 6 metres wide and 3.5 metres high in a single span using sunscreen fabrics which come in a range of colours and styles. 16

17 There is also the option of removable posts. These posts can create a partition when the blinds are closed and then be removed when the blinds are up to create a doorway or wider opening. All slats are made using Commercial Grade Aluminium, and are assembled in our factory meaning less time, noise and mess created onsite than some other DIY type systems available. The Aluminium slats come in a wide range of Powdercoat colours, or select from long lasting timber grain colours. In terms of installation, these are typically mounted between pillars, or Boardwalk can install matching posts to allow for wider spans. 19 Boxed Screens Fully Welded Frames provide an enhanced appearance over traditional frameless screen systems, whilst providing added support and structure for larger areas. When used in conjunction with a welded gate, a more seamless transition across the products also allows for a neater finish. All frames are TIG welded, providing a robust and quality join that is stronger than the original material. The importance of this is apparent when used together with larger swinging gates, where other methods of frame joins or poor quality welds will quickly show their age. Frame sizes will depend on the span of the product and structural requirements. 20 PEDESTRIAN GATES General Access and Pedestrian Gates Utilising Boxed Screens and Aero Screen products, our pedestrian gates can allow side access to a property or to secure a front yard. Quality is paramount, and Boardwalk uses trusted hardware and fixings to ensure longevity across all our products. All our gate frames are welded, which given the repeated open and close nature of a gate will provide a more stable gate than screw together gate systems. Options of Auto Release, Service Key (for access to meter boxes etc), push button and like keys options are all available. 20 Most of our gates can be made Swimming Pool and Council Compliant when required, please make clear all these requirements onsite with our Sales Staff. 22 DRIVEWAY GATES Larger Access and Driveway Gates We specialise in gates for vehicles, boat & trailer, driveway and car park access in either manual or motorised systems. Depending on your requirements, our gates may be installed in either sliding or hinged configurations. All our gates are custom made to suit each application and feature welded frames. With upgraded posts, frames and hardware used as required our gate systems will suit extra wide situations as well as areas where increased usage may be a consideration. Sliding Hinged Gate Systems and Accessories HEAVY DUTY HINGES We use heavy duty Galvanised hinges when required. They are sandblasted, treated and powder coated to match posts/frames. JOCKEY WHEEL May be installed on wider manual gates to provide additional support and ease of operation. (Not suitable for motorised) TRUCLOSE HINGE On lighter gates we may still favour the range of TruClose hinges. Available in light or heavy duty. Concrete Footing Concrete Footing INSET TRACKING This is the best option on paved or unlevel driveways. 23 Motorisation Boardwalk proudly uses Mhouse motorised systems for all sliding and hinged gates. Manual gates can be motorised at a later date subject to a few changes at fabrication, so please advise us in writing (in advance) if you plan on adding a motor at a later date. Mhouse motors are Italian made, are low maintenance and offer hassle free operation. Our standard motors operate using 24 Volt system. (A 240 Volt power source is required to be made available by the client close to the motor location prior to installation.) The factors to consider in the selection of the right motorised system include the operating cycle of the gates, and the relationship between the airflow of the gate versus the wind loading on the motor. We have motors to cover all scenarios, and also offer a range of accessories including locks, safety sensors and keypad entry.
