2 PROFILE ANDREW WHYTE LANDSCAPE DESIGN Andrew Whyte began in the Landscape profession in 1992, working in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne maintaining gardens. Emigrating from Scotland at 24, Andrew brought with him 3 main principles learnt from his father: Pride Care Integrity - Always be proud of what has been built. - Be intently interested in providing a service to others that will be enjoyed. - Hold fast to what you know is right, never allow others to persuade you to lower your standards and leave an inferior result. Andrew Whyte Landscape Design has since become a prominent figure in the industry. Andrew s team consists of qualified Landscape Architects, a Project Manager and an Admin Manager. Working from their Design Studio, based in Hawthorn East, Andrew Whytes team Designs and Constructs projects of all styles and scales, from contemporary inner city town houses, to large country properties. Andrew Whyte Landscape Design has the design philosophy that each project is created to meet with the individual tastes and lifestyle need of the client. We do not for this reason have a set style. It is our view that outdoor living adds an enjoyment of it s own, the sun, the scents, the space, and all the other ingredients of life bring about an uplifting experience. Enjoy!

4 INITIAL CONSULTATION Our Initial Consultation provides you with the opportunity to discuss your needs and wants, in relationship to your outdoor space. It is also an opportunity for Andrew to offer his ideas for your future garden. Topics for discussion include: pool location and orientation, amenities for the family such as entertainment space required; children needs; planting styles; and all other aspects that encompass a landscape project. Prior to this consultation, a questionnaire will be ed to you to assist in the consultation. Andrew allows up to one hour with you on site discussing all the various possibilities for your garden. 5 DESIGN REVISION 01 CONCEPT DESIGN SITE ANALYSIS Our Landscape Architects visit and document your site, taking the measurements, levels, existing trees, and other aspects. Once the existing site conditions have been noted and recorded they are reproduced in a CAD file on the computer. INITIAL CONCEPT Based on the formulated brief, your Concept Plan will provide you with a design that incorporates all the elements you desire in your space. The Concept aims to form the general design layout and ideas of your project. DESIGN CONSULTATIONS On presentation of your design we discuss the project and any refinements needed. We suggest that this be held at our Studio in Hawthorn East, as we present your design on our large LED screen and are able to make adjustments to the design using our CAD software. This means that what is discussed during the meeting is changed on the spot, making sure nothing is overlooked. ALLOWANCE OF WORKS With your Concept Design we are able to complete a Construction Allowance, providing you with an idea of the costs involved and confirming that your project will be within budget. 11 3D MODELING EXPERIENCE YOUR DESIGN Having a 3D design allows you to visualise your space before it has been constructed. We highly recommend a 3D for ever client as it provides you with clarity and confidence in moving forward with the construction of your project.

On completion of the Master Plan we are able to produce any drawings required for council and complete them accordingly, to meet council requirements. CONSTRUCTION DETAILS Detailed construction drawings are produced where necessary in the design to make sure that your project is constructed as per the Design. Your project may only require one or two details if the design is simple, or may require 20 if the design is more complex and involved.
