SOLUTIONS SOLUTIONS 1- District Cooling Plants: WHY DCP? In the last decades, the industrial and services sectors are rapidly expanding through building new industrial cities, new airports, new services facilities, new towers and compounds districts. The demands for water, power, and cooling are also increased to match the requirements. District Cooling Plant is a solution to cover the increasing demand on cooling with less power consumption compared with the traditional A/Cs, reached up to 30% of power saving compared with the normal A/Cs system. Besides, District Energy Plants are centralizing the operation and maintenance works which will decrease the logistics and operational cost. FLUCON SCOPE: - Provide business assessment with feasibility study for district cooling plants medium size. - Design, Supply & Build. WE TRANSFER ENERGY 12 13

SOLUTIONS SOLUTIONS 2- Energy Transfer Stations: 3- Solar Heating Solutions: ETS will enhance the performance of DCP and will protect the chillers loop by providing two different circuits. Design a proper control for ETS will enhance the system efficiency and transfer the required energy. By installing a flow control valve (temperature controlled), the flow through ETS can be controlled based on the return line temperature going to the plant or the return temperature at the secondary side coming from the served building. Installing differential pressure transmitter across the chilled water supply and return line of ETS will help to control the flow of secondary pumps installed in the district cooling plant. In case of having many ETS rooms for one centralized DCP, the secondary pumps will be controlled based on the lowest ETS DP. Such synchronization between ETS s and DCP will guarantee the heat transfer efficiency and DCP performance. Many service providers request to measure the heat transfer value for different purposes. FLUCON can provide a full PLC solution with BTU meter and flow measuring devices to calculate and report the actual heat transfer to main DCP. Why solar? The Solar Hot Water system is now a mature technology. The benefits of choosing to install a solar hot water system are significant when viewed through a long-term.it s Environmental Friendly and can reduce a significant portion of the conventional energy being used for heating water in Residential Complexes, Hotels, Hospitals and Industrial Facilities. It is a great investment with the increase in gas and electricity prices, giving you more incentive to make the initial investment. How Works? Solar Hot Water System collects energy from the sun in thermal collectors. Hot water is produced and heated water in a thermal storage tank or calorifier with an optionally integrated backup heater for non-sunny periods. FLUCON offers a Closed Loop Solar Hot Water System with efficient, cost effective Design & Build as per the project requirement and can guarantee long time efficient performance. A Solar System Mainly Consist of: Solar Thermal Collectors Thermal Storage Tank or Calorifier with optional backup heater. Circulation Pumps. Expansion Tanks. Despite the designed smart solutions and the high quality construction work, the plant will not get the maximum output results (or even failure in operation sometimes) if the plant was not pre-commissioned well. Pre-Commissioning is a series of activities to test and verify the readiness of integrated systems to perform as per the design.
