Historic Preservation SPRC 2 Site Plan #439 3445 Washington Blvd. Arlington, Virginia 22201 December 10, 2018
Historic Preservation Analysis An Archaeological Assessment for the site was prepared on October 24, 2018 by R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates at the request of the Arlington County HALRB The study notes that there were multiple instances of cutting, filling and grading at the site during development activities in the late 19 th and early 20 th centuries The study also notes that the current Legion site is not contiguous with the Ball Family Burial Ground Due to the location as well as late 19 th and early 20 th century development activities, R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates concluded the site would not have any human remains. The consultant does not recommend any additional archeological investigations for the site. APAH agrees to stop work if remains are found, as consistent with site plan conditions 17
