A reference is made in 10.1.3.2 to national regulations and statutory requirements on accident prevention. In South Africa this means the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No. 85 of 1993) (as amended from time to time) and the Electrical Machinery Regulations promulgated in terms of the said Act. Annexes A to I form an integral part of this standard. Reaffirmed and reprinted in July 2011. This standard will be reviewed every five years and be reaffirmed, amended, revised or withdrawn.

Design, selection and installation of geomembranes 1 Scope This standard gives requirements and guidance for the design, selection and installation of thermoplastics geomembranes. It also specifies quality control and quality assurance procedures. 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. All standards are subject to revision and, since any reference to a standard is deemed to be a reference to the latest edition of that standard, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to take steps to ensure the use of the most recent editions of the standards indicated below.
