030 Function Functional diagram 1 Low-water thermostat 2 Heating 1500 W 3 Heating 750 W 4 Thermostat 5 Control valve steam volume 6 Steam switch on the gun 7 Plug 8 Solenoid valve 9 VAPOHYDRO control valve with riser 10 Pressure regulator Filling in and heating up water The safety lock can only be opened for filling in water if there is less then 0.2 bar inner pressure in the pressure tank. If the pressure is higher, it must be reduced via the steam gun first. The refill tank is unheated and depressurised. The water level is monitored by the level sensor. If the plug is plugged into the device, both heaters heat the water in the pressure tank. If the modular accessory plug is not plugged in, only the heating 1500 W is heating. The pressure regulator switches the heating off as soon as the set steam pressure has been reached. The level sensor monitors the water level in the pressure tank. If the water level falls under a certain level due to the 11 Temperature display 12 Level sensor 13 Safety lock 14 Pressure container Upper section 15 Pressure container Lower part 16 Pump with check valve 17 Refill tank 18 Lock refill tank 19 Switch-off electronics steam consumption, the water pump is switched on. This delivers water from the refill tank to the pressure tank until the water level there has increased so much that the level sensor switches the water pump off again. When the water in the refill tank is used, an audible signal sounds 8 times and the indicator light "water shortage refill tank" lights up. The water can immediately be refilled there without switching off the heating. If water and steam are completely consumed, the thermostat water shortage switches off the heating. At the lowest point of the pressure tank, underneath the heating, a small amount of water remains. This is enough to reduce the pressure tank temperature quickly to below 100 C. This way, there is no risk that water splashes back upon refilling the pressure tank and scalds the user. 12 English 5.906-732.0 Rev. 00 (12/14)

Working with the steam gun If the steam switch is pushed on the gun, the solenoid valve opens and the steam flows from the pressure tank through the plug forward to the steam gun. With the control valve steam volume the steam volume can be adjusted. In addition, hot water can be mixed into the steam by means of the VAPOHYDRO control valve. If the valve is opened, water rises in the riser and mixes with the steam at the solenoid valve. This way, the moisture of the steam can be regulated from dry steam (valve closed) to hot water jet (valve completely opened). Descaling the pressure tank After approx. 50 operating hours, the indicator light Descaling lights up (white). This in an indication that the pressure tank must be descaled now at the latest. To do so, completely dissolve the pouch contents of RM 511 in 1 litre of warm water. Fill this solution into the pressure tank and allow to react for approximately 8 hours. During this time, the pressure tank must remain open and must not be used. After pouring out the solution, rinse the pressure tank with cold water at least twice in order to remove all residue. Press the reset key until the indicator lamp "Descaling" goes off. The appliance is ready for use again. After approx. 50 operating hours, the indicator lamp "Descaling" shows the next necessary descaling process. Safety installations Water shortage thermostat The thermostat water shortage interrupts the circuit for the heating if the water in the pressure tank is consumed and the temperature rises further. Red low-water indicator lamp lights up When the temperature falls again, the water shortage thermostat automatically closes the circuit again and the indicator light goes out. Safety thermostat The thermostat is an additional safety element. It interrupts the circuit for the heating if the thermostat water shortage is defective and the temperature has risen further. If the thermostat has tripped, it will not switch back automatically. The device must be opened in order to find out why the water shortage thermostat has not worked. After detection and elimination of the error, the pin on the thermostat must be pushed in again. English 5.906-732.0 Rev. 00 (12/14) 13

Pressure controller The pressure regulator interrupts the circuit for the heating if the specified steam pressure is reached in the pressure tank. If the pressure in the pressure tank falls again, i.e. the steam has been consumed, the pressure switch automatically closes the circuit. The pressure switch has 3 connections: COM = Masse (earth, ground)) NO = normaly opened NC = normaly closed The pressure regulator is connected to the terminals COM and NC. Safety lock The safety lock is an additional safety element in the pressure tank lock. It opens, if the pressure regulator is defective. If the safety lock has opened, the pressure regulator must be checked in order to detect why it has not functioned. 040 Service activities ADDR Uninstalling / installing the pressure regulator ABGE Uninstalling / installing cover 1 Switch 2 Screws 3 Connector 4 Pressure regulator Disconnect the connector.
