General Information The nature in the garden academy is the education sector of the nature in the garden initiative. Location: Tulln, Lower Austria at the area of the sustainable gardenexhibition THE GARDEN TULLN The nature in the garden - initiative is also represented by garden consultants all over Lower Austria.

Therapeutical Gardens in Lower Austria

Therapeutical Gardens in Lower Austria Since 2003, advisory of about 75 institutions. Since 2005, all Health Care and Care Homes have an agreement with the Country Home Management to involve nature in the garden for all plannings of therapy gardens. For all new building projects of nursing homes and care facilities it is mandatory to reserve a part of the building budget for the therapeutic gardens.

Therapeutical Gardens in Lower Austria Since 2009, networking: regulary participation in the "Garden Therapy Jour fix at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Education Vienna, the only institution where the garden therapy course is held. Every second month newsexchange: together with experts, interested persons and projectmanagers Participation in the expert working group "therapy garden standard in Austria" is summarized in a policy paper, target the needs of garden therapy and therapists garden. As a result, a vocational for gardentherapists will be developed.

Therapeutical Gardens in Lower Austria Therapeutical Garden at the GARTEN TULLN: In 2006 it was created by the Austrian Horticultural Society (Fischer-Colbrie). With other elements on the GARDEN TULLN he is now the scene of the workshop: "Our garden therapy" for small groups of interested organizations. Since 2012 is "Nature in the Garden" project partner of the "ETZgarden therapy - project (2012-2014) As part of this project therapeutic elements at the garden Tulln will be realized in spring 2013.

ETZ Garden Therapy Project Cooperation between the Czech Republic and Austria Duration : 01.2012 09.2014 Important Milestones: Publications : topic garden therapy, printed in German and Czech Development of garden therapy elements in process workshops. The participants include personnel from various social institutions which carry out even garden therapy. For example: plant labyrinth, mobile raised beds, winter workplace, therapeutically valuable tools, sense way,..built on the area of THE GARDEN TULLN.
