Opportunities and Constraints Opportunities: Tucked into urban fabric the park may have a surprise element upon discovery Possibly a safe haven from the noisy urban environment There are clear sitelines of park from other corners of the intersection Visibility into the park from the street is good for security There is ample morning sunlight Building walls may be good opportunties for new murals Street trees provide mature canopy cover and habitat Well connected by public transportation Constraints: The playground has a relatively small footprint Traffi c noise due to proximity to street intersection Afternoon shade due to adjacent tall buildings Winds create unpleasant condidtions at times Street trees may block valuable morning light Perception of safety risk from street activity Legend Project Boundary Scale: NTS N Site Analysis 14
