During the convention there were a lot of seminars, case studies, presentations by academics, sector specialists, engineering fraternities, banking professionals and law makers. There were around 50 exhibitors mostly all related to water supply components and technologies and 10 leading valve manufacturers displayed their products & technologies. More than 600 delegates from all over India, responsible for supply of potable water around the country, participated in the event. The key visitors to the stands were Water Supply Engineers from various Water Boards around the country, Policy makers, Consultants involved with SMART Cities AMRUT city projects, EPC Contractors, Component Suppliers, Dealers and Distributors of allied products. On behalf of TALIS Group, Mr. Asaf Bassi gave a presentation on the advanced Smart Water Management techniques by TALIS, which was highly praised and commended by the delegates. We received a good number of visitors and our prime objective of announcing "TALIS India has arrived in INDIA" was successful, and all our key products along with SMART Solutions were well received by the visitors. We have few prospective enquiries, which will be followed up on. TALIS Products in Mexico s city pumping station Water demand in Mexico City is a serious business. As a consequence, one of the goals for SACMEX (Mexico City Water Authority) is to develop new pumping stations within the city and maintain the existing ones to a good standard. Due to this requirement, SACMEX program general
maintenance annually to at least 20 pump stations from the 1,000+ units currently in operation throughout the city. The SANTA CATARINA pumping station is located in Tlahuac (on the eastside of the city) and supplies water, in coordination with other pump stations and water wells, to around 1,500,00 residents - as you can see it is an important water source for the area and the city. The general maintenance consists of changing the pumps, pipes and valves from the main pipeline so this is where TALIS comes in. Our proposal was to change the control and isolation valves due to leaks and performance concerns with the existing valves. For the control valves we supplied 8 PN16 RAY Valves from RAPHAEL to use as soft close check valves and resilient seated gate valves from BELGICAST in 2, 8 and 10 to isolate the pumps and air valves. The success here is with TALIS valves. We replaced the previously installed control valves giving better performance with a good price. This is the first facility in the city where our valves have been installed and hopefully, now that are registered as a reliable valve supplier with SACMEX, the first of many opportunities to provide quality products and efficient technical solutions to the user. New certifications for our subsidiary RAPHAEL Giving consequence to Raphael Valve Industries commitment to the development of its marine market, we are pleased to announce that the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) has recently certified RAPHAEL s Range of FDV and FDV-R Fire Protection Control valves, as Type Approved. The ABS Type approval is an additional recognition to RAPHAEL s quality of manufacturing processes and products, and compliance with the demanding rules and regulations set by the distinguished classification society. We are proud to announce that RAPHAEL Valves Industries Ltd. FDV and FDV-R product range have been awarded with the Lloyd s register Type Approval certification. RAPHAEL s already recognized range of Fire Protection Products, received a further an additional nomination, by the
distinguished classification agency, for use in marine, offshore and industrial fix fire systems, after successfully completing an extensive product testing and Manufacturer s assessment process. RAPHAEL s range of Type Approved products include Deluge valves, Monitor valves and Pressure Control Valves, in water and foam systems.
