Page 4 Heart of Missouri Master Gardener Newsletter Committee Updates The Learning Garden The Heart of Missouri Master Gardeners have donated 350 pounds of produce to the Central Pantry this summer. The pantry is always eager to see what we bring in twice weekly. Jack Wax and I typically drop the food off at the food pantry. A BIG thank you to Jack for all of the time that he has volunteered to the garden this summer! Now we can use everyone s help in getting ready for the tour visiting the garden during the State MG Conference. We have been busy removing crops that are finished and replanting fall crops including: radishes, turnips, lettuce and spinach. We love the long beans that are growing on the west fence and over our gate. Thank you Alex, for donating these seeds. The basil has been gorgeous this year and the two types of okra that Dennis planted are about 18 24 tall now.
