HOUSING and INDUSTRY Specialized CAD design studio 09/2013 04/2014, 4th year Bc, cca 120 students, teachers: Viera Joklova, Juraj Furdik, Ivor Meciar. Topic : HOUSING and INDUSTRY Project solves the planning study of the western Bratislava, linked-up with automobile industry area Volkswagen, implying multiframe design studios at FASTU. Flourishing existence of the Volkswagen concern (which is the biggest producer and employee in Slovakia) in the city, the coherence with the existing and planned housing structures at the western segment of Bratislava generated strong stimulus for the spatial development of urban structure, solution of which becomes still more actual, considering the city requirements on one hand and the needs of industry fabrication on the other hand.

HOUSING and INDUSTRY
HOUSING and INDUSTRY Students: Jakub Mikula, Maroš Oravec, Michaela Moravčíková, Erik Pastucha. Tutor: doc. Ing.arch.Viera Joklová, PhD. EN The design creates in the locality the big car racing track with the amenities and an entertainment park in the middle of the track, with the tribunes and isolating greenery around the track. Structures of showrooms, science and technology park and car muzeum are on the east. South parts are continuously fibrillated to a large greenery and recreational area, complemented by the blocks of housing, polyfunctions and administrative structures on the west part of the area. Students: Zuzana Belešová, Lucia Budzáková, Juraj Hariš. Tutor: doc. Ing.arch.Viera Joklová, PhD. EN The design follows the strict ortogonal grid network of objects of various functions and highs; greenery; amenities, roads and walking paths. Final urban structure resembles the form of the structure of the VW factory.
HOUSING and INDUSTRY Learning activity applied the methods of participatory planning: - Starting with bi-lateral communications FASTU and interested stakeholders in the locality (representatives of Volkswagen Slovakia, developers, municipality); - Continuing with the presentations of stakeholders for students, expression of their specification, disscussions with planners; - Students applied acquired knowledges to their designs; - Students formulated their views on: how the presentations and disscussions with stakeholders in the solved area can help in the creation of better design. - They participated in the Workspace Civic Housing, LA52, TK2 Participatory methods of communication; - Urban studies were evaluated by stakeholders and teachers and in public presented with the attendance of VW representatives, representatives of Bratislava Devinska nova Ves, developers, citizens, FASTU teachers and students, media.
