East Nicolaus Joint Union High School District Fund 21, Bond Fund Standings Revised 03/07/17 Bond Balance as of 3/7/17 Envrioplex Retention Billing to be paid Remaining Landmark Contract (includes Change Order) Remaining IOR Costs Estimated Outstanding Consultant Cost Estimated Additional DSA fees Total Remaining $1,048,869.06 ($16,518.61) ($80,238.06) ($1,000.00) ($4,500.00) ($1,500.00) $945,112.39 What do we have left?

Prior design was estimated at around $700,000.00 for construction, plus soft costs, project would be near $945,000.00 Can be remodeled without full tear out, and without structural changes Need to demolish Deli Shack for safety, noncompliant and uncertified building Kitchen Remodel

Plumbing Floor drain with air gap Three compartment sink Hot Water Improvements Electrical Check current outlets, add as needed Remove old connections Air blowers/windows Interior Cleaning Washable Wall Surface Flooring What has to happen in the Kitchen?

Non Structural renovations on scaled down version Can be done with plumbing, electrician, and various contractors Possible General Contractor for coordination Kitchen Recommendation

Bond Project Ramps/Path of Travel should be ADA Compliant Looking for quotes from companies on pouring concrete for entry and through dirt area to driveway Estimate $30,000.00 FFA Room Ramp/Walkway

Overhang/Shade Structure over yard area $600,000.00 estimated cost alone Would require bringing all of current shop up to current code (structural, FLS, ADA Compliance) Demolition of Rooms, Roof Supports, etc. Would require all surrounding buildings and areas to be up to current code Certifying surrounding buildings, path of travel, compliant restrooms Remodel Interior to Better Accommodate Program Shop Improvements

Electrical Upgrades Improve Interior New Storage Reconfigured layout Done with available funds Shop Recommendations

Constructed projects regulated by DSA are required to be certified as to the safety of design and construction pursuant to Education Code Sections 17280-17316 and 81130-81147. Ensuring projects are certified is critical because: Certification provides a method to report the safety of school construction. School board members may be personally liable for projects until certified. DSA will be unable to approve new proposed projects associated with uncertified construction (see DSA IR A-20 for in-depth discussion). Non-Certified Buildings

Shop Remodel Kitchen FFA Entry Review difference in multiple contractors or general contractor Work with staff and County further on required additions Get quotes from contractors in order to estimate cost and timeframe Will gather complete listing of items needed Review electrical needs Engage electrician for quote Next Steps
