If you only control hydronic heating section, there is no solar piping, Please set up System =0 Main Menu Heating HCs RESOL MX controller has two Heating Circuits.
Set up Heating Curve. There are 4 modes, The most popular mode used is CURVE. Constant mode keeps Set Flow Temperature constantly; Linear mode calculates Set Flow Temperature with considering two Outdoor temperatures. Curve mode calculates Set Flow Temperature by outdoor temperature and heating curve selected. ** Suggested** Room mode calculates set flow temperature by room temperature only.
Determining Tflowset Mode: Curve: Controller will calculate a set flow temperature by means of the outdoor temperature and heating curve selected. Select Heating Curve: Supply Water Temperature-20ºC 20ºC Designed Outdoor Temperature Linear: the flow temperature curve will be calculated by 2 outdoor temperature points. Constant: keeps the set flow temperature at a constant value which can be adjusted by means of the parameter Tflowset. Room: the controller will calcualte the set flow temperature by means fo the room temperature, regardless of outdoor temperature. Tflowmin and Tflowmax are defined the min and max flow temperature allowed at sensor S10, if measured temperature at S10 is out of the range, controller will use Tflowmin/Tflowmax. Interval is the damper moving interval.
Timer -> Mode: Day/Night: reduced setflow temperature (night correction) is used during night operation. Day/Off: The heating circuit and the optionally activated backup heating are switched off during night operation.
Summer Operation: temperature is defined to tell controller to stop heating mode. Day: based on the temperature during day time; Day/Night: based on the temperature during day and night time.
Remote Access: RESOL has room control unit and remote control units. That users can adjust supply flow temperature without accessing to MX controller physically. RTA12 Remote control RCP12 Room control unit
Sensor Type could be RESOL FRP 12 indoor sensor or regular thermostat with dry contact. Tamb.set is Room Target Temperature, when room temperature is less than the Tamb.Set, the corresponding relay will be activated, as well as HC pump. For example, when temperature in Room 1 is less than 20ºC, Relay R6 ( zone pump) will be activated and Relay R13 ( P1 heating pump) will be activated too. Each heating Circuit works with 5 zones simultaneously.
Back Up Heating. Therm Mode, Zone Mode, On/Off Mode Therm mode: the calculated set flow temperature will compare to a tank sensor. Zone Mode: the calculated set flow temperature will compare to both tank reference temperature. On/Off Mode: the backup heating will be activated when the heating circuit pump is switched on for heating. Back-up heating In the example on the first page, the reference sensor is S4, we only select Therm Mode: TT R14 is a dry contact in MX, to close Boiler T T terminal. If you have a non-condensing boiler, Boiler Pr.min may need
DHW Priority: When DHW tank temperature less than pre-set value, the DHW tank calls for heat, that will activate dry contact R14, and DHW loading pump R5. When room(s) are calling for heat and DHW tank is calling for heat too, the heating pump HC is NOT activated until DHW tank get satisfied.
