5 ECLIPSE The Eclipse steam steriliser range is available as a Class B fractionated vacuum model, each model has an automated door locking and opening system and the simple press button control panel makes the steriliser very easy to use. This steriliser comes with an inbuilt printer and USB information download facility. Each model is fully automated with pre-programmed sterilisation cycles. An inbuilt independent steam generator provides readily available steam for faster cycles. 9 WATER DISTILLERS Distilled water is water that has been boiled into steam and condensed back into liquid in a separate container. Impurities in the original water that do not boil below the boiling point of water remain in the original container. Distilled water is one type of purified water. 19 TESTING PRODUCTS Excel Healthcare Ltd has a range of testing products that are compatible with our range of steam sterilisers. Manual testing of steam sterilisers is now considered an essential requirement and must be performed by the operator on a daily basis. HTM 01-05 states that daily tests must be performed by the operator or user and if the steriliser fails to meet any of the test requirements the steriliser must be withdrawn from service and advice sought from the manufacturer or service provider. The daily tests consist of steam penetration test (vacuum sterilisers only) and Automatic Control Test. These tests should be dated, signed and recorded in the steriliser log book. MAINTENANCE 20 Excel Healthcare Ltd offers a fully comprehensive service plan on all our Sterilisers, enabling compliance with all current guidelines and legislation. For an invoiced amount of 480.00 + vat that can be paid either annually or monthly if set up at the start of your invoice. Regular servicing and a calibration of all steam sterilisers is now recognised as an essential requirement, there is also a legal obligation under the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC to ensure a pressure vessel inspection is carried out annually and a current written scheme of examination document is held on file. The fully comprehensive service plan consists of two service visits at six monthly intervals whereby a routine service is carried out under manufacturer s recommendations and full certification is issued. A pressure vessel inspection is also carried out and a written scheme of examination certificate is issued. Regular servicing enables technicians to rectify any minor problems that may develop into a malfunction at a later date. This prevents costly and unnecessary downtime. In the unlikely event of a fault occurring between scheduled service visits this will be carried out as quickly as possible with no additional charges. Excel Healthcare Ltd will only charge for a callout if the error is due to misuse of the steriliser or the engineer is unable to gain access to the premises after being mutually agreed.
