History Site plan amendment submitted for February, 2017 CB meeting Site plan amendment reviewed by SPRC on May 15, 2017 Staff prepared a report dated July 6, 2017 recommending denial for the subject site plan amendment given the issues and lack of adherence to the principles for interim improvements at the site The applicant has requested deferral of the site plan amendment to October, 2016 Staff is recommending that the Board defer to December, 2017 to give the applicant sufficient time to: Revise the proposal to adhere to the five staff principles Obtain approval from WMATA for the encroachment into their easement Return to SPRC, Planning Commission, and Transportation Commission 13
Required Findings By December 16, 2017, the revised proposal must meet the following findings: The project will not adversely effect the County s ability to realize the 18 th Street Corridor segments on surrounding blocks The project MUST meet findings of ACZO Sec. 7.15: 14
Recommendation Therefore, staff recommends deferral of the subject site plan amendment to the December 16, 2017 County Board meeting. 15
