5. Brief profile In 2005, Polish Enterprise Fund V, a fund administrated by Enterprise Investors, bought the retailer Artima, a business developed by businessman Florentin Banu, for 21 million EUR. Artima launched in 2006 four new stores and intends to reach a number of minimum 27 units until the end of 2007 and 50 units in 2009. At the beginning of 2006, the Artima network acquired the Lotus supermarket in Oradea and the Avantaj supermarket in Ramnicu Valcea. Artima is interested in new development opportunities and intends to acquire other local retailers. 5
