Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System c/o The City of London Regional Water Supply Division Tender T13-96 HVAC and Dehumidification Project (No. LH 1203) Chorley + Bisset Ltd. Consulting Engineers London, Ontario 11 October 2013 Page 1 of 6 ADDENDUM NO. 4 Make the following amendments and additions to the Drawings and Specifications, and include this cost in the Contract Price. 1. GENERAL INFORMATION AND RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS Q1. For the new MCC s F3, H3, & MSE, the specification does not indicate the enclosure rating required. Please advise. Please also advise the required short circuit rating of the devices as the specification only states the bus withstand rating. A1. See Specification Section 16900 2.1.1 Q2. Please advise the required enclosure rating of all the new panels. A2. See Specification Section 16400 2.4.2.6, 2.4.3.3, 2.4.3.4 Q3. VFD Specification section 16920 art 2.2.8 states that the VFD enclosures must be Nema 4x. However art 2.2.8.2 states that a Nema 1 enclosure is acceptable for areas where EMT is permitted. None of the drawings and documents clearly indicate the areas where EMT is permitted. Please advise which enclosed VFD s are in areas where EMT is permitted so that I may offer Nema 1 enclosures. This is important as Nema 4x enclosures will require air conditioners, and this will add significant cost. A3. See Specification Section 16100 2.2 Q4. Disconnect Specification section 16100 art 2.7.4 states that the disconnects must be Nema 4x. It also states that a Nema 1 enclosure is acceptable for areas where EMT is permitted. None of the drawings and documents clearly indicate the areas where EMT is permitted. Please advise which disconnects are in areas where EMT is permitted so that I may offer Nema 1 enclosures. A4. See Specification Section 16100 2.2 Q5. Loose Starter Specification section 16155 art 1.1.2 states that the starters must be Nema 4x. It also states that a Nema 1 enclosure is acceptable for areas where EMT is permitted. None of the drawings and documents clearly indicate the areas where EMT is permitted. Please advise which starters are in areas where EMT is permitted so that I may offer Nema 1 enclosures. 7132-1 -

A5. See Specification Section 16100 2.2 Q6. Form of Tender Page 18 Item 1.0 Provisional Items 2. Bonding ask for a price per $1,000.00. Does that mean that we are to NOT include the costs for any bonding in our pricing or is this for additional work. A6. The item is for bonding of the additional work. Q7. Section 15900 page 3, article 1.2 Work Included, Item 1.2.2 - Can the control panels communicate with the plant SCADA via a standard communication protocol such as BACnetIP, BACnet MSTP or MODbus instead of dry contacts? A7. Bid Price to show control arrangement as shown on drawings and as specified. Q8. Can free space in existing cable trays be used to run new network cabling, etc? A8. Yes, however network/controls cabling, etc are to run only in existing network cable trays and not in existing 600V cable trays. 2. FRONT END TENDER DOCUMENTS 1. DATA SHEET FOR TENDERERS 1.
