Green Infrastructure Planning Approach

PROJECT: Holloway Green Street + Current Status: Current Status: First public meeting was held on 8/15 Public input on design concepts are being received through Metroquest Team is preparing detailed alternative analysis and started engineering survey and geotechnical work. + Next Steps: Refine Options Based on Cost/Benefit, Feasibility, Risk Assessment, etc. Incorporate public comments into design

Project Site & Existing Conditions 9

Concept A: Bulb outs with Rain Gardens + Bulbouts would improve pedestrian safety and provide public space at neighborhood intersections, in addition to functioning as a component of the stormwater management system. 10

Concept A: Bulb outs with Rain Gardens + Surface flow would be directed into bulbout rain gardens where it can drain naturally without entering the City s sewer system. + Section illustrating some of the sub-surface changes that would be made alongside the surface improvements.

Concept B: Sidewalk Rain Garden & Permeable Paving +Roadside planters would be integrated adjacent to parallel parking along Holloway Avenue and permeable pavement in the parking lanes would improve stormwater management.
