Functional test (according to paragraphs 4.1 to 4.3) Before and after each single test as well as during the tests with operating specimen, a functional test will be performed according to the demands of the client. For this purpose the sample will be connected to a voltage of 24 VDC and to a notebook. The status LED and the software status will be checked. 4.4 Degrees of protection IP6X (protection against access to hazardous parts) according to the IEC 60529 13.2 as well as to the demands of the client position, not operating general purpose, horizontal Before the dust test, the protection against access to hazardous parts IP6X shall be verified using a standardized wire. The access probe 1.0 mm (force 1 N) must not penetrate the housing at any point.

Test report-no. 10142 / 13 page 4 / 6 4.5 Protection against solid foreign objects IP6X (dust tight) according to the IEC 60529 13.4 as well as to the demands of the client, not operating position general purpose, horizontal The certification of the degrees of protection IP6X is to be carried out in compliance with the specifications of the standards. The specimen will be placed inside the dust chamber within a whirling air flow with finely distributed dust. For the test IP6X with vacuum, a suction hose must be led to the inside of the samples. Using vacuum a volume of 80X the volume of the specimen will be removed without exceeding a flow-rate of 60 Volumes per hour. Under no circumstance may the vacuum exceed 2kPa. Once a flow-rate of 40-60 Volumes/h has been achieved, the test will last at least 2h. Talcum powder will be used as test dust (composition and grain size distribution in compliance with the regulation). Visual inspection After the dust test IP6X, the sample will be examined for external damage and any other alterations. The housing of the sample will be opened and examined for penetrated dust after the test IPX5. 4.6 Protection against water jets IPX5 according to the IEC 60529 14.2.5 as well as to the demands of the client For the certification of the degrees of protection IPX5 the following specifications of the standard apply: position, not operating general purpose, horizontal test set-up water jets from a standardized jet nozzle with 6.3 mm inner diameter water flow rate 12.5 l/min 5 % water pressure proportional to the specified water flow rate water temperature must differ by no more than 5 K to that of the samples clearance approx. 2.5 m (jet nozzle to housing) duration at least 3 min Visual inspection After the water jet test IPX5 the sample will be examined for external damage and any other alterations. In the subsequent visual inspection of the opened sample, it will be examined whether water or dust can penetrate inside the sample. Functional test (according to paragraphs 4.4 to 4.6) Before and after the tests a functional test shall be performed according to the demands of the client. For this purpose the samples will be connected to a voltage of 24 VDC and to a notebook. The status LED and the software status will be checked.

5 Realization Test report-no. 10142 / 13 page 5 / 6 The environmental tests were carried out one by one according to the program of testing methods (complex 4.1 to 4.6) according to the standards and to the demands of the client. Visual inspections Before and after each single test, the MSX-E3011 were examined visually for external damages and any other changes. After the test IPX5 a visual inspection of the opened sample, was examined whether water or dust can penetrate inside the sample. Functional tests Before and after each single test as well as during the tests with operating specimen, a functional test was performed according to the demands of the client. For this purpose the sample was connected to a voltage of 24 VDC and to a notebook. The status LED and the software status was checked. Fastening of the specimen During the vibration test (complex 4.3), the specimen was mounted to an aluminum plate with 35 mm rail mount. This plate with the specimen was directly installed in the respective axis on the vibration table, see pictures appendix 2.
