Congratulations on your choice of a high quality product. We strongly advise you to read the following instructions in order to guarantee the optimal operation of your appliance. We are sure that it will be entirely to your satisfaction and will meet with all of your expectations. Important recommendations For a proper operating of the boiler, follow carefully the instructions. Any intervention on the appliance and heating equipment must be carried out by a qualified technician. The manufacturer is not liable for any improper use of the appliance or failure to maintain or install the unit correctly (the user shall take care to ensure that the system is installed by a qualified fitter). Check the seal on the gas and water pipe connections. 1 Aeration Do not obstruct the air inlets in the room (even partially). France: the cross section of the aeration vent, which is compulsory in the premises in which the boiler is installed, must comply with the DTU 61.1 (P 45 204) standard and, in particular, with the instruction on general improvement work (Book 1764 April 1982). Check that the equipment is properly set for the type of gas used. Keep to the polarity shown on the terminals : phase (L), neutral (N) and earth. Check regularly that the installation contains water and is pressurised. Danger of burning in direct contact with the flame detection cell. Germany : the cross section of the ventiliation vents, which are compulsory in the room in which the boiler is installed, must comply with the VDI 2050 form 1 standard and with other prevailing regulations Other countries: the cross section of the aeration inlet, which is compulsory in the premises in which the boiler is installed, must comply with the standards in force in the country. 2 Maintenance - The servicing and cleaning of the boiler and the sweeping of the flue gas pipe and the bleed pot must be done at least once a year by a qualified professional. We recommend taking out a maintenance contract. - Regularly check the level of water in the system and top up if required, taking care that cold water is not added suddenly into the boiler when it is hot. If this operation is repeated several times per season, locate the leak and repair it. Do not drain the installation, except in cases of absolute necessity. For example: Several months' absence with the risk of ice in the building. 3 Adapting to another gas The operations required to switch from one gas to another must be carried out by your fitter. 14/11/2005-300006361-001-A DTG X.. Commissionning Initial commissioning must be done by a qualified professional. 1. Check the water pressure in the installation. Top up with more water if necessary. 2. Open the gas valve. 3. Check that the safety thermostat has not triggered. Remove the safety thermostat hood and press the reset button with a screwdriver. 4. Set the On/Off switch to 1. 5. Set the Summer/Winter swtich to. 6. Create a requirement for heat: Place the boiler thermostat in the required position. 7. The safety box carries out its ignition cycle. If the safety control box malfunctions, reset it by pressing the reset button. Make a further attempt to light it. Check that the heating pump is working (not gummed up). Degum the pump if necessary. Stopping the boiler Set the On/Off switch to 0. Precautions to take if there is a danger of frost Heating circuit: Use a correctly dosed antifreeze to prevent the heating water freezing. If this cannot be done, drain the system completely. In all cases, consult the fitter. Precautions to take in the event of prolonged shutdown (one year or more) - Close the gas valve - The boiler and the chimney must be swept carefully. - Close the door of the boiler to prevent the internal circulation of air. Domestic hot water circuit: Drain the domestic water tank and pipes. Troubleshooting Checks to make before calling your fitter: The burner is not working: - Check the boiler thermostat settings. - Shutdown by the safety thermostat due to accidental overheating. Check that the safety thermostat has not triggered. To restart the boiler, reset the safety thermostat. Remove the safety thermostat hood and press the reset button with a screwdriver. Carry out the start-up operations again. Call your fitter. - The safety control box is malfunctioning. Press the reset button on the safety control box. Call your fitter. The burner is operating but the radiators are cold: - Bleed the radiators. - Top up the primary circuit with water. - Check that the heating pump is operating correctly. - If it is often necessary to top up the installation with water, contact your fitter. Before informing the fitter of a fault, make a note of the following information: - Product type - Year of manufacture - Serial number - Type of gas used This information can be found on the rating plate stuck to the front plate of the boiler. 14/11/2005-300006361-001-A DTG X..
