Lewis Falley Allen To Buffalo in 1827. Worked as agent for Western Insurance Co. 1833 he and partners bought most of Grand Island. Spent summers raising cattle on Grand Island on a 800-acre farm. Nationally known breeder. Bought land in outskirts of Buffalo between Main and Hudson. Allen Street named after Allen in 1888. Married Margaret Cleveland, aunt of Grover Cleveland. 1800-1890
