Test Programme As supplied, the samples were tested to clause 5.3.1 & 5.3.4 of BS EN50291-1: 2010 (Electrical apparatus for the detection of carbon monoxide in domestic premises) only. No other clauses were tested/assessed on this occasion. Tests were carried out with the samples powered as per the manufacturer s instruction at 230V~ 50Hz in laboratory ambient conditions 20-23 deg C and 35% - 50% rh Note: Clause 5.3.4 Alarm Conditions of BS EN50291-1: 2010 refers to clause 5.3.1 for test conditions Pre-conditioning was conducted on this occasion The following test conditions and criteria were considered during the test; Test conditions: Expose 3 samples to Test Gases A, B, C & D and all 3 units should pass and should recover within 6min when exposed to clean air Test Gases used & alarm conditions: Test Gas A (33ppm ± 3ppm) no alarm within 120min of exposure Test Gas B (55ppm ± 5ppm) no alarm before 60min but alarm before 90min of total exposure Test Gas C (110ppm ± 10ppm) no alarm before 10min but alarm before 40min of total exposure Test Gas D (330ppm ± 30ppm) alarm within 3min of exposure Samples were powered via 230V~ 50Hz variac with the 9V PP3 battery back-up present during testing.
