M&O Perry Industries M&O Perry Industries, Inc. designs and manufactures cleaning, sterilizing, filling, and closing machines for the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Animal Health markets. We are a focused firm that has been an innovator since our beginning. In the late 1940 s two scientists at a New York area pharmaceutical company discovered how to accurately dose penicillin powder into injection vials using vacuum and pressure. They called their discovery the ACCOFIL principle. Recognizing a pharmaceutical company was not an ideal place to produce filling equipment, they sought out a machine shop on Perry Street in Brooklyn, NY to manufacture their invention, and Perry Industries was born. During the 1960 s Perry developed monobloc machines to consolidate multiple functions on a single platform. The first vacuum stoppering machine followed in the 1970 s to partially insert lyophilization stoppers into glass vials. M&O Industries was created in the mid 1980 s when two former employees of Perry Industries moved to California and joined forces. They quickly discovered the local Biotechnology and Diagnostic Industry needed automation equipment to meet the growing demand for their products. Innovation again struck with the design and manufacture of filling and closing machines to fill liquid and screw cap plastic tubes, micro-tubes, and bottles. Another innovation was monobloc machines that filled powder and inserted frits into SPE columns and tubes.

M&O Perry Capabilities Cleaning Sterilizing Liquid and Powder Filling Closing Traying

Cleaning and Sterilizing Machines Vial Washing Machines M&O Perry washers are designed to clean vials and bottles at outputs up to 24,000 per hour. Our cgmp manufactured rotary (Model MP-RBW) and inline (Model MP-BWT) series machines gently transport and decontaminate glass vials. The machines ultrasonically clean, spray wash and rinse the interior and exterior of vials, and blow compressed air into and over the exterior of vials. Optional siliconization station and multiple container infeed and exit configurations are available. Changeover is quick and easy for a wide range of vials. Hot Air Sterilization Tunnels The Model MP-AST series of laminar air flow tunnels sterilize and depyrogenate glass vials in a continuous process at outputs up to 24,000 per hour. Hot unidirectional laminar air flow preheats, sterilizes, and cools the vials in an ISO 5 environment attaining a 3-log bio-burden reduction of pyrogens. A wide range of cgmp compliant tunnels are available to meet your production requirements. Optional auto balancing, velocity verification and pressure measuring instruments, sleep and wake functionality, recording devices, and multiple in feed and exit configurations are available. Liquid Filling Machines Low and Medium Speed Liquid Fill and Closing Machines Model P1500 series of filling machines process glass or plastic vials, bottles, and tubes at speeds up to 2,700 per hour. The extremely versatile and reliable machines can be configured to fill, stopper, plug, alu-crimp cap, or screw cap. The linear conveyance system utilizes v shaped tooling blocks that handle a wide range of container diameters without change parts. Our rotary liquid filling systems, Model P3000 series, reach production outputs of 6,000 per hour. Options include multiple, container in feed and exit designs, accurate pump systems (peristaltic, rolling diaphragm, piston, and syringe), IPC check weigh modules, and VLAF, RABS or Isolation hoods. High Speed Liquid Fill and Stopper Machines Model LF series of machines fill, or fill and stopper glass vials and bottles at production outputs up to 21,600 per hour. The continuous motion, in-line filler is accurate, reliable, safe, and easy to operate, change over, and clean. Its open design minimizes unidirectional airflow disruption making it an ideal choice for high-speed sterile filling. Like the P1500, v shaped tooling blocks transport a range of vials without change parts. Stoppers are partially or fully inserted with a vacuum gripper wheel. Options include multiple dispensing systems, IPC check weigh system with data collection and auto adjust of pumps, bulk stopper feeders, and LAF, RABS or Isolator hoods. Standard or Gray Wall versions are available.

Powder Filling Machines Manual and Slow Speed ACCOFIL Powder Fill and Closing Machines Powder filling is our genesis and M&O Perry invented the ACCOFIL vacuum / pressure system to accurately fill vials, bottles, syringes, tubes, and SPE columns. It is a volumetric approach long known for accuracy, repeatability, and cleanliness. Our product line includes manual lab units (Model LM-14 & FC), semi-automatic filling heads (Model E-1300), and automatic filling and closing (stoppers, screw caps and alu-crimp seals) machines (Model P1500 series). Production rates up to 2,700 per hour. Numerous filter media available to optimize dosing results for 2mg to 200gm fill weights. Medium and High Speed ACCOFIL Powder Fill and Closing Machines Models E-SPS and H-SPS series of powder fillers precisely dose sterile powder and insert stoppers into glass vials at production rates up to 19,200 per hour. Single or dual indexing fill heads provide an accurate, repeatable, and flexible means of dosing one (1) or two (2) powders into a vial. Options include integrated bulk powder and stopper feed systems, IPC check weigh system to automatically weigh, document, and adjust fill weights, media fill station, and LAF, RABS, or Isolator hoods. Both standard and gray wall versions are available. Combine with one of our vial washers and tunnels for a complete sterile packaging line. Closing and Traying Machines Alu-Crimp Sealing Machines Model RCS and RPC series of alu-crimp capping machines seal vials at speeds up to 24,000 vials per hour. The intermittent motion Model RCS alu-crimp caps vials around an indexing star wheel. The high speed, continuous motion Model RPC crimps vials around a turret with up to 10 heads. An automatic reject and sampling station ejects vials with missing caps or removes a group of vials for seal force measurement. Both models compress the stopper and seal the vial with a free spinning disk designed to minimize particulate generation. Bulk feed systems and LAF hoods are available to meet current industry standards. Vial Traying Machines Model VT series of machines methodically tray vials into standard or offset row formations at production rates up to 24,000 vials per hour. Depending on output requirements, one (1) or two (2) trays are processed at a time. The flexible and user friendly design includes a servo driven traying arm that allows the operator to changeover to different vial sizes and nest configurations from the control panel.

Other Equipment and Services Low, Medium, and High Speed Syringe Fill and Close Machines Model SA-SF, IM-SF and CM-SF series of syringe machines reliably fill and cap (screw or press fit) plastic syringes with heparin, saline solution, or various dental and medical gels at production rates up to 36,000 per hour. Operation can be as simple as hand loading syringes into a dial on semi-automatic machines (Model SA-SF) to completely automated continuous motion systems (Model CM-SF). Model IM-SF intermittent motion monobloc is available in single or dual tooled versions for medium speed applications. The latest addition to our syringe product line is the Model HP1500 NSF-PL series for filling sterile powder or liquid and inserting rubber plungers into pre-sterilized syringes nested in tubs. Macrodose Powder Filling Machines Model CMR and CMR-C series of powder fillers accurately dose large fills of powder into glass and plastic bottles at speeds up to 21,000 per hour. An optional capping turret applies ROPP, snap-on, screw type, or tamper proof caps onto bottles. Typical applications include dosing oral antibiotics and baby powder into glass and plastic bottles, and aspirin into pouches. Fill weights up to 200 grams can be handled. Monobloc Filling Machines For those products that can t be handled on our standard equipment, we offer flexible monobloc machine solutions to assemble, fill, and close components at speeds up to 6,000 per hour. These machines fill liquids and powders, insert plugs, beads, and frits, and close the components with heat sealed films, ultrasonically welded parts, screw caps and press on closures. Parts and Service M&O Perry supports its equipment in the field with a responsive and well trained parts and service department. We provide spares parts, service, and maintenance contracts for the life of the machine. Additionally, our experienced and knowledgeable service engineers install, troubleshoot, repair, and service both M&O Perry and other manufacturer s equipment.
