VACPB1 Series Standard Control Box Layout and Design NOTE: This is a Typical VACPB1 Control Box Layout Drawing, Consult Sales for a Model Specific Drawing.

VACPB1 Sequence of Operation With the operational T-STAT in the OFF position and the Fan Selector Switch in the AUTO position the Air Conditioner will not operate. Compressor OFF, Fan OFF. With the START button NOT pressed the Pressure Blower will not operate. Pressure Blower OFF Cooling Mode with Room Pressure Steps: Note: When the VACPB1 system is running with pressurization active and you wish to change from HEATING to COOLING. You need only operate the T-STAT COOL HEAT function and set the desired temperature setting. 1. To properly operate the VACPB1 system place the Fan Selector Switch on the T-STAT to the AUTO position. The Fan will energize when called for by the operational T-STAT. ( Fan AUTO is also Available if desired ) 2. On the PB controls place the Selector switch to AUTO Note: The Room Pressure Control Knob will be disabled. It functions as a Set up and Test tool. Also may be used as a backup if there is a component failure in the loop. 3. Press the START button. Pressure Blower will then energize. At this time the room pressure gauge will show a increase in room pressure. Allow the room set point to be reached 0.1 IN/WG, this may fluctuate slightly for a short period. Note: If the MANUAL function is selected. The room pressure will need to be set with the Control Pot. In this mode the system will not automatically ramp up or down to accommodate room pressure requirements. 4. Adjust the T-STAT to the Cool Mode. (T-STAT HAS A 5 MIN. DELAY ) When the T-STAT is in the COOL mode and the desired temp has not been reached the compressor will energize. The unit is now running with pressurization and cooling automatically controlled. Note: On loss of pressure the Pressure transmitter will send a signal to the Power flex to speed up the PB motor to produce the correct amount of air flow to allow the room to stay within NFPA 496 pressurization codes. Once room pressure is lost, the Time Delay relay will energize and provide a 120 volt signal to both the RED LIGHT on the Door, and to a remote Alarm Contact (See Electrical Drawing). Once room pressure is restored the alarm will clear and the unit will reduce air flow to control room pressure.

VACPB1 Sequence of Operation Note: In Heat Mode the Electric Heater contactor will disengage on loss of room pressure after the TDR times out. It will automatically reset once room pressure is restored. As required by N.E.C. (Heater is Pressure Interlocked with room pressurization controls) Heating Mode with Room Pressure Steps: Note: When the VACPB1 system is running with pressurization active and you wish to change from COOLING to HEATING. Dehumidification Mode Note: Enable the desired Dehumidification Mode below. Optimal Dehumidification (OD)- when enabled, this feature automatically reduces indoor humidity with a call for Cooling if humidity is 2% above humidity setpoint. Humidity is set by pressing the Humidity key when in the appropriate mode, in this case Cooling, and pressing the OR Keys to set desired humidity level followed by pressing the Humidity key again. This dehumidification feature may use more energy by making dehumidification a priority initiating a call for cooling if humidity is 2% above desired setting. This feature may also over-cool the conditioned space by up to 3 degrees to achieve the desired humidity level. Optimal Comfort (OC)- When enabled, this feature automatically reduces indoor humidity with a call for Cooling if humidity is 2% above humidity setpoint. Humidity is set by pressing the Humidity key when in the appropriate mode, in this case Cooling, and pressing the OR Keys to set desired humidity level (40% to 95 %) followed by pressing the Humidity key again. This dehumidification feature uses less energy by maintaining temperature and dehumidifying only when a call for cooling is required. Note: Both dehumidification modes operate in Cooling Mode only with a call for cooling.
