Our quality manufacturing, easy installation and maintenance make this unit one of the best values on the market. High-efficiency, 2-stage Copeland UltraTech Scroll Compressor with a Factory-installed Sound Blanket. Fewer compressor parts mean less wear and tear to give your unit longer life. This compressor is hermetically sealed and features safeguards to protect it from excessive temperatures, pressure and abnormal electrical currents. In addition, an energy-saving design reduces internal resistance and friction and increases operating effi ciency. Internal parts are spring isolated, and the entire compressor is mounted on rubber cushions to help absorb vibrations. A highdensity foam compressor sound blanket, factory-installed 2-speed fan motor and heavy-gauge and coated wire condenser fan grille result in low fan operating sound. Environmentally Friendly Refrigerant R-410A. Non-ozonedepleting environmentally friendly refrigerant. System Protection. Compressor internal overload, high-pressure switch and a low-pressure switch protect the compressor and other components from damage. The low-pressure switch on the suction line detects a loss of refrigerant charge. A protective time delay works to prevent short cycling. A 5-minute delay occurs whenever the power supply or the indoor thermostat s signal is interrupted. Factory-installed Bi-Flow Liquid Line Filter Drier. Standard protection adds to reliability by helping to keep refrigerant clean and dry. Clean and dry refrigerant ensures longer life for the compressor and expansion devices. Uses R-410A environmentally friendly refrigerant. Quiet Condenser Fan with Vertical Air Discharge. Quiet, effi cient eight-pole condenser fan and motor reduce operating sounds and large blades move high volumes of air with lower power requirement. Draw through air fl ow directs operating sound and hot air away from neighbors, shrubs and buildings for increased installation versatility. Efficient Cubed Coil. This space-saving design provides more active square feet of cooling surface for increased cooling effi ciency. The compact cubed coil forms the body of the unit. The unit's compact footprint allows for versatile applications. Matched Indoor Blower Coils and A-Coils. These copper tube/ enhanced aluminum fi n coils, in combination with Amana brand systems, make for optimum operating performance and effi ciency. Plastic drain pans used on the indoor section are threaded for easy attachment of drain lines. All coils are fully leak tested before leaving the factory. Back-seating Service Valves. Service valves with sweat connections and gauge ports are angled at 30 with enough clearance to easily and quickly service the unit. Service panel swings open at the corner for effective service from 2 directions. Inside, a pre-wired control box with single-panel access speeds installation. Minimal quantity of numbered and color-coded wires ensure fast fi eld wiring. Compressor and tubing access from side and top give plenty of internal room for installation and removal of parts. Years of reliable leak-free use. Durable Cabinet and Construction. The high-quality steel cabinet has a long-lasting, corrosion-resistant painted fi nish and rust-resistant screws, provides superior UV protection. A tightly spaced, heavy gauge coated premium wire grille adds rigidity to better protect the unit as well as improving appearance. When properly anchored, meets the 2001 Florida Building Code unit integrity requirements for hurricane-type winds.
