ST. PETER S PARISH HOUSE Presentation of Concept Design to Parish 29 January 2017
A Bold Vision for St. Peter s Future To create a space of hospitality a new parish house as a graceful complement to the historic church where people from all walks of life are transformed through both serving others and being served. To support the need for gathering as a means to nurture community, to deepen existing bonds of relationship, and to form new ones. To be good stewards of the environment and of parish resources in building the most sustainable parish house possible within budget, with a full appreciation for lifetime costs, payback and value. To weave together the park-like historic grounds and the larger Society Hill neighborhood to provide a welcoming, idyllic, pastoral environment, while creating a cohesive church campus. To reinforce St. Peter s identity as a thriving, urban, historic parish along Third and Pine Streets. PROJECT GOALS
