Show Highlights 14th INT L FLOWERS & PLANTS EXPO TOKYO (IFEX) 11th INT L GARDEN EXPO TOKYO (GARDEX) 7th AGRI WORLD 7th INT L HARDWARE & TOOLS EXPO TOKYO (TOOL JAPAN) 1,876 exhibitors and 42,761 visitors from all over the world gathered under one roof. Since its launch, the exhibitions are growing year by year. Evidently there were big crowds within the exhibition halls and long queues at the visitor registration counters. A scene from the show 2017 As one of the leading show in the industry, buyers were able to have a look at a great range of products and make business for the coming season. All booths and lounges were busy with exhibitors and visitors were negotiating serious business and making new connections throughout the show period. Show Management has received positive feedbacks both during and after the show and it seems the shows have yet again served as a great bridge between the Asian market and the world. 14th INT L FLOWERS & PLANTS EXPO TOKYO (IFEX) welcomed 517 exhibitors with flowers and other related products, interested in expanding their business in Japan & Asian markets. From overseas, exhibitors from 13 countries came to display their produces/products. These countries included Taiwan, Korea, and Kenya, etc. The show was split into 9 main areas; Flower & Plant Grower s Fair, Export from Japan Zone, Growers Fair Mini Booth Corner, Breeders Fair, Floristry Items Fair, Supporting Auction Area, Distribution Service Consulting Zone, Botanical Zone, and Flower & Lifestyle Collection. 5
Special Events IFEX Flower Awards IFEX Flower Awards is a special event held during the show. Exhibitors from around the world enter this contest to be chosen as The Future Best Sells. Judges are renowned flower designers and presidents of Japan s leading flower shops and flower auctions. This year, 79 varieties were nominated and 13 winners were chosen among these three categories: Cut Flowers, Potted Flowers and Overseas Growers. Award winning varieties will be strongly promoted in Japan's leading flower shops and flower arrangement schools. Grand Prize-Cut Flower- Nakasone Lisianthus Inc. Grand Prize-Potted Flower- SUNTORY FLOWERS LTD. Grand Prize- Overseas Grower- AGROCOEX LTD. Preserved & Artificial Flower Arrangement Contest 205 preserved & artificial flower arrangements were on display under the theme of Flowers carrying happiness. 9 special award winners were announced. Grand Prize arrangement in 2017 Flower Arrangement Show 8 famous flower designers made flower arrangement performance during the show period. They made attractive arrangement performance and a lot of visitors attended the show. 6
11th INT L GARDEN EXPO TOKYO (GARDEX) is the largest scale exhibition for Japan s garden industry. There were many garden and outdoor living tools displayed from Japan and all over the world. The show welcomed 203 exhibitors from 11 countries (including Japan) this year. Thanks to the high participation from overseas, GARDEX has surely become a truly international B to B trade show and activated Japanese international business in the industry. 7
LIFESTYLE & GARDEN COLLECTION "Lifestyle & Garden Collection is a special exhibit area held at GARDEX. Many garden and home centres in Japan have started to deal with garden related gift items in their shops to differentiate from other competitors and to meet their customer demands. GARDEX provides those who are looking for new sales channels with the opportunities to meet with these garden and home centres. Exhibiting at "Lifestyle & Garden Collection" is a key to expand business in Japan. 8
AGRI WORLD consists of 3 specialised exhibitions - AGRITECH JAPAN (7th International Agricultural Material & Technology Expo Tokyo), AGRINEXT JAPAN (4th Next Generation Agriculture Expo Tokyo), and 2nd Farmers Processing & Sales Support Expo Tokyo. As Asia s largest B-to-B trade show for agricultural materials and technologies, over 609 exhibitors and many professionals from all over the world gathered this year to find new business and build connections in the Japanese market. AGRITECH JAPAN Japan's leading industry trade show for agricultural materials and technology. Exhibitors dealing in agricultural machineries, fertilisers, substrates, agrichemicals, horticultural supplies, and many more gather all at once. AGRINEXT JAPAN An exhibition which gathers next generation agricultural technologies such as plant factory technologies, IT solutions, drones, photovoltaic generation systems, and so on. As the competition in agricultural industry is getting fierce, many agricultural industry professionals are actively looking for more efficient, low-cost and innovative solutions. FARMERS PROCESSING & SALES SUPPORT EXPO TOKYO Fresh produce processing & sales support services for farmers are displayed at this show. Visitors were able to see the processing machineries, fresh management technologies, packing materials, and other related products/technologies. 9

Food Package Zone FARMERS PROCESSING & SALES SUPPORT EXPO TOKYO This zone is for exhibitors with food packaging materials. Drone Zone AGRINEXT JAPAN This zone is especially popular with international visitors. Varieties of drones can be seen at this zone. 10
Since its launch in 2010, 7th International Hardware and Tools Expo Tokyo (TOOL JAPAN) has led Japan s tool industry by serving as the best platform to conduct serious business with tool suppliers. This year, the show welcomed 227 exhibitors from Japan and all over the world. All aisles were filled with buyers and visitors as business meetings were held everywhere. TOOL JAPAN is surely Japan s leading B-to-B trade show specialised in tools. 11
Exhibit Zone This year, TOOL JAPAN had 9 exhibiting zones: General Zone, Work Tool, Worker s Gear, Safety Equipment, Garden & Landscaping Tool, Construction Supply, Snow Blower & Snow Removal Equipment, Work Wear, and Agricultural & Forestry Tool. Variety of tools exhibited has become wider with the increase of overseas exhibitors. As well as Taiwan and China who had national pavilions, USA, Italy, Vietnam, Hong Kong, UK and Korea have participated in this year s event and the percentage of overseas exhibitors summed up to around 37 %. Overseas participants are expected to grow further for years to come. 12
Next Show Save Your Dates for October 10-12, 2018! IFEX/GARDEX/AGRI WORLD/TOOL JAPAN will return at a greater scale next year. October 10-12, 2018 at Makuhari Messe, Japan. As the world s leading trade show, IFEX/GARDEX/AGRI WORLD/TOOL JAPAN will undoubtedly continue to be one of the most important trade shows in the Japanese/Asian-Pacific market. At the 2017 show, many existing and new exhibitors have booked their spaces for 2018. As most of the existing exhibitors have expanded their booth sizes, Show Management strongly recommends to those who are interested in participating at IFEX/GARDEX/AGRI WORLD/TOOL JAPAN 2018 to apply for the booth immediately before reaching its full capacity. 13
